I now know what most of y'all prefer for impact and drill. I've never used a battery grinder. Haven't even picked one up in the store.
BUT, I think I might get one just to make my scribe cuts easier than chasing an outlet down for my makita corded grinder.
what do y'all like? Is the makita any good?
Thanks in advance Will

Thanks in advance Will I have the dewalt cordless grinder. I am happy with it, I went with that because i had just purchased the 60v cordless saws-all. so i later picked up the grinder and the cordless oscillating saw. since then i have picked up desalts cordless trim nailers and staplers. so far so good on all of them. i have been very pleased. so i now have mafell, Makita, and dewalt battery platforms, I'm all over the map, lol oh yeah and still have one lingering festool drill.

I have the brushless Makita LXT grinder and love it. So easy to use one-handed for scribing. The new Dewalt brushless 20-volt grinder is great as well. Metabo is known for their grinders so there 18 volt brushless model will also be a good choice

I really like the Milwaukee Fuel. It's a beast for cordless. Imo.

I had the BL Makita DGA504, excellent grinder, sold it for the Metabo as I was switching battery platforms.
The Metabo is OK. Switch turns off on its own sometimes (not a safety feature, it does this mid air too), and it has the stupid swiveling battery base that after limited use was vibrating all over the place, so is now fixed in place with electricans tape. Also you can't stand the grinder up like you can with the Makita as the battery base is angled.
The Metabo has better battery options. Handy to have the lighter 3,1Ah batts for smaller or detailed work, but it really needs the bigger 5,5Ah batts to perform at it's best, making it a heavy beast.

If the makita cordless is anything close to my makita corded grinders, they should live forever.
Granted I've never used anything but a makita, but mine has outlasted several other brands that my buddies have had. Metal fab work as a hobby and as a profession without a plasma cutter is hard on a grinder.
