I got a question about the automatic speed setting on this saw. I used it the other day cause I had to cut a lot of pieces from a long piece of wood. I was thinking that it should go down to the lowest speed when I stop cutting but it just keeps going on full speed once it has felt some resistance. This makes it hard to position the saw for the next cut, if it would go down to lowest speed it would be so much easier and faster to start the next cut.
I've had some problems with saw in the beginning, It would go into safety and didn't want to start anymore after a single cut. It went back to metabo for repair but they didn't find anything wrong with it. I made a few cuts and it seemed to work. After that I didn't used it for a month or two and when I needed it again it didn't want to start, same problem as before. So back to metabo for repair again and they put in a whole new electronic system. Now I can count on the saw but I am still wandering about the automatic speed setting as I didn't try this when I got it back from repair and I can't remember how she acted when I first got her.
Another thing that annoys me is the dust blow switch, it's loose as hell, not very positive locking. Not a real problem I just think for a 500 euro saw (with no batteries) they could have done a better job with it.
