Be good to see any modified tools you've all got (or is it just me!)... I'll start off with the Frankendrill!.. yes it looks weird!.. but resolves all the problems of the original. Festool CXS (brand new and unused!) with Makita CXT battery (and a very weird and not so useful USB charging socket!)... and of course the cherry on the cake - this one accepts the Mafell and Metabo chucks and bit holders! Just need to add a belt hook. Battery is sitting forward as it gave the best balance. Very little weight change over the original, and of course I can put 4.0 ah batts on too.

I slightly ground down the shaft using a diamond blade in a grinder while the drill was running.
