For reference if anyone finds this useful, I can't guarantee accuracy for the numbers but they are what I found with a height gauge and caliper. I'll keep this updated if I get more blades.
Tenryu PSW-16012CBD2 160mm 12T:
Grind: ATB
Kerf / Measured Plate: 2.2mm / 1.65mm = .275mm plate-tooth clearance
Measured Plate-Tooth height difference: .30mm +/-.02
Kerf-Plate Calculated: .30mm
Tenryu PSW-16028CBD2 160mm 28T
Grind: ATB
Kerf / Plate: 2.2mm / 1.65mm = .275mm plate-tooth clearance
Measured Plate-Tooth height difference: .23mm +/- .03
Kerf-Plate Calculated: .30mm
Tenryu PSW-16052CB2TK 160mm 52T
Grind: ATAF
Kerf / Measured Plate: 1.6mm / 1.03mm (Includes a shim: 0.52mm. Shim not used in measurements.) = .31mm plate-tooth clearance
Measured Plate-Tooth height: .26mm
Kerf-Plate Calculated: .29mm
Remarks: All the Tenryus are well dampened and do not ring when tapped.
Mafell 162mm Nr. 092584 48T: (Stock blade on saw)
Grind: Claimed AT, possibly means ATB and looks like ATB
Kerf / Measured Plate: 1.8mm / 1.27mm = = .265mm plate-tooth clearance
Measured Plate-Tooth height difference: .35mm
Kerf-Plate Calculated: .30mm
Remarks: No dampening elements in design
Freud Diablo D0436X 4-3/8" (~110mm) 36T: (20mm arbor)
Grind: Claimed ATB, visible ATAF w/ non shear angle as well.
Kerf / Plate: .049" (1.24mm) / .043" (1.09mm) = .006" plate-tooth clearance (0.15mm)
Measured Plate-Tooth height difference: .12mm +/-.01
Kerf-Plate Calculated: N/A (No official numbers)
Remarks: Not as well dampened as the Tenryus but does not ring audibly. Vibration felt at tips and body of the disk when tapped hard enough. About a little less than an inch (~ 24mm) of cutting capacity on the rail and about a little more than 1-1/8" (~29mm) off the rail
The most noticeable difference with the anti splinter strip happens with the Freud Diablo as it has the smallest plate to tooth difference. It cuts further away from the anti splinter strip than the stock 48T Mafell blade. I have not tried the Tenryus out yet.
