I visited the store today and picked up the Metabo. I asked if I could get a package deal if I bought the P1CC and the KSS300 aswell. I got 5% more discount on everything I bought, so I'm going to return my P1CC, and just buy it back from them. I saved 200-250 bucks by doing this.
I also went to a festool dealership to ask if they had female plug-it cables so I can mount it on the KSS300 and possibly the P1CC. I'm afraid if the plug-it will be an inconvencience on the jigsaw if I use it upside down. Anyone that has modified the P1CC, does it dangle around a little too much? In response to my question, they actually said "What's a Mafell?". I was a little shocked, seeing they they are pretty much competitors. After a little clearing up on that and further explaining what I wanted, they concluded with saying they didn't have the part in, and what I were explaining would effectively be illegal. AFAIK, it's not illegal and not breaking the warranty if I just put the original cord back if I send it for repair? They also said they didn't have the part in the store.
Also, not on topic, but I really have to rant because I'm really annoyed/angry. Have been tryin to drill into my cast iron lathe to mount a movable base. It's a old german lathe from the manufacter Denn. I called my friend for help, because I've spent half an hour drilling through one 10 mm wide hole. The casting is approximately 10-12mm thick. I predrill the hole with a 3mm, 6mm and then a 10mm. I oil sufficiently. My friend said that if it's they used good steel in casting, it can be a pain to drill through. I actually bought a new quality drill set that were supposed to be really good for 250USD, thinking it will go really fast when I use them. Wrong. Even now, with those bits, I'm not making any measurable progress, and I'm about to throw something heavy at the ground in despair.
