I'm wondering if the "Roller Edge Guide" MF-UA 206073, listed as the edge guide for the MF-26cc multi cutters, is compatible with the MT-55cc/KSS-400? This Edge guide looks similar to the Roller Edge Guide available for the K85/KSS80. This could really expand the versatility of some of the other Mafell saws! Just not sure if the rod spacing is the same as the MT-55cc and KSS-400....... www.mafell.de/fileadmin/media/epaper/katalog_2013_2014_en/index.html#/108

When I had the mf26cc on demo I forgot to check as I have wondered the same. I'm sure they are the same distance, just not 100% sure

I asked Timberwolf about this and this is the response I got:
"The Roller Edge Guide fits on the MT-55cc. It should also work with the KSS-400 since both machines use the same parallel fence. However, I am told by Mafell that the gradations on the bars will not be accurate since 206073 was principally designed for the MF-26cc multi-cutter"
I plan to add one to my order on monday.

That could be a useful addition. I have the parallel fence for the MT55 but your limited on certain widths. The roller guide would allow for thinner rip cuts which would be handy at times.

I was told the same thing from David when I was inquiring about this and the KSS400 - which, the roller guide is also compatible with, BTW. There is one for the KSS80 as well, but I decided to hold off for the time being and see if screwing some wood to the fence would allow enough clearance for narrow rips. I believe that Tom uses some molding for this purpose. I will likely add it at some point, though.

It'll let you plunge right into the guide if you place the guide on the blade side outright. I uploaded an image of it on my new MT-55cc with it almost touching the blade. You won't have to screw anything onto the fence for thin rips. Actually it also has two holes in it already so you won't have to drill into it either. Attachments:

How well does the MT55, or any plunge saw, cut with a parallel guide? Seems like it would be hard work keeping the saw plunged and making sure the guide is running parallel?

Running parallel to what? Sideways for you concrete form board?

The parallel guide works excellent on the saw.very easy to use and keep on track. Don't know if the roller guide works.
