Hi All,
I know someone has already posted about the Samurai Carpenter video where he uses the Z5Ec upside down on a benchtop as standard band saw.
Does anyone have any experience using the tool like this?

Haven't seen nothing like it, although have had someone intending to use P1cc as PlasterBoard (GypBoard) cutting tool, I've personally seen someone using FesT TS75 as insulation cutting device, whilst I personally used Stone blade on my MT55cc to cut Quartz worktop...
If that "samurai" would've used £400 band saw instead of £1600 Z5e on-site / in-situe I would've been impressed, but to use Z5e as stationary saw is amusing, but that's it...
Edit last used Z5E sold for £2280... Used stationary bandsaws starting at £75...

I wondered about doing the same, from the point of view of being able to resaw heavy beams. I liked the concept of a bandsaw that moved, rather than lifting the heavy beams myself. Feedback I got from Z5e owners was that it wouldn’t cut straight enough. It is effectively designed for ornate coping in timber framing.
