Hi,
I was watching this video
and was struggling to find a difference in the first 2 uses of the the fence grip accessory thingy. Am I missing something?

The first is referencing off the fence; the second is referencing off the base. Look at 35 seconds, and then at 1:00 - the DDF40 is facing the other way.
Why is this important or needed?.. if you're working with EU standard 19mm stock, you can reference off the base - this is the quickest and easiest way to work (the Zeta P2 also works perfectly like this for 19mm stock); if you are using thicker or thinner stock, you will need to adjust the fence to centre the dowels to the stock - and hence you reference off the fence.
This is a pretty cool feature and this video shows it nicely.

I attempted a quick box today, just as practice, and I thought the scrap II was using was 18mm, thats what I ordered, turns out to be 17mm. There was some misalignment when I fitted the pieces together so I was a bit thrown for a bit. Once I realised, I readjusted the fence height which made a big difference.

Just did a quick Google search, there are places selling 19mm board in UK. Weird that UK seems to be mainly on 18mm, as 19mm is an equivalent of 3/4".
Registering off the fence you should be able to dial in the tool. Test it from each side of a scrap to make sure you are centred.
