3 new additions to the CAS family: Trumpf (unfortunate name) 12 & 18 V CAS Nibblers & Shears & a "Seam-Sealer/Press" for HVAC plus a swag of non-CAS (which I assume will change to CAS over time) Seam-Lockers (whatever they are?) Drills & Rattler etc., plus Gesipa Riveters & MontiPower bristle & vinyl Power Brushes.
All still German, all still extremely specialised. So where's my CAS Cordless Multimaster then? Eh, Metabo? Eh Fein? Get your collective Teutonic shit together please!
Total number of CAS participants is now 20. Trouble is, they're getting even more obscure & specialised over time, not less. I'd really like to see a few more "mainstream" European tool manufacturers join in too. Fein would be an obvious choice for me & many other potential customers given that even the "new" Metabo multitool can't even approach the capabilities & quality of Fein's original & best Multimaster/PowerCut 500.

Huntsgemein: Unfortunately Fein went with ”the other guys” and offer the Fein Multimaster with the Bosch 18V AmpShare platform. I did snag one as soon as they became available. The ”Starlock Max” version. It is a solid machine but it does have a little more vibration than the Bosch counterpart. The Bosch looks like a brick in comparison but is quite nice in use.
