That new Vac looks pretty good. 36v, auto on/off using portable tool vibration sensors, with similar suction to the corded equivalents: 4000 l/min & 240 Bar Vacuum. Not bad. Not bad at all. A useable, useful 25L of capacity also makes it a much more viable proposition to the weak, feeble, gutless & incapacious 18 V one. The only way it could be significantly bettered is if it had a mains adapter/charger onboard.
That new plug-in auto control also looks extremely useful too. Plug the "base" into any power outlet, plug any tool (vac, floodlight etc.) into it & then use the remote switch anywhere; on a tool, on your wrist, in your pocket etc. Remote switching on/off for anything anywhere there's mains power available. Great stuff. Presumably there's a small-ish upper current limit for switching, although there's no mention of it at all.
Mini 12 & 18 V SDS hammers. Bosch were doing these over a decade ago. Nothing to see here!
Starlock Plus Multitool, still only a mere 1.6 degrees of radial rotation. The Fein originals (both Supercut & Multimaster) have a full 2 degrees rotation, making them much faster (25% actually) & more powerful, even if they are lacking LED lighting.
New Plunge & Pendulum track saws, the latter in 165, 190 & 235 sizes, the last 2 corded, still won't be a patch on the Mafell equivalents, I can almost guarantee, even if they're less than half the price.
Maybe the biggest news is the new 10.0 AH Li-HD batteries, now available in a discounted 4-pack along with a superfast Duo charger all in a nice new, fancy Festobox. No sign yet of a 5.0 AH mini battery unfortunately. I'm guessing that they need to shift excess current stocks of existing 4.0 & 5.5 AH batteries first. Both potential new sizes will be fantastic for the big heavy high drain tools & the smaller drills, jigsaw & other small handheld ranges respectively. Even the 2 x 8.0 AH batteries don't really last very long in my big grinder cutting steel reo bar or doing demolition work. Having an extra 25% charge life onboard without any extra weight penalty will be a huge bonus.

Yes I agree, I see one of these new vacs in my line up at some point - I'll wait for a deal with some 10ah's and the new 2x 145 charger.

Thanks for the link. I'll be buying one of these as soon as they become available. I've been told they'll be in Australia toward the end of Feb. Looks like I'll also be buying the twin charger.

I've been using Bobbie Bosch 36v mowers for the best part of some 20 years now. Seriously, seriously impressed: had 3 over the years, 1 of which was nicked. One at my old home & one @ the shack. Very limited runtime admittedly using the original 2.6 AH batteries; around 20 mins in dry grass, less in wet. Using their "newer" 4.0 AH batteries gave about 30 mins/charge. I always mulch. Never, ever catch, as per all professional advice.
What I really liked was the way they handle tough rough going with hard dry Eucalyptus leaves, twigs etc. with freshly sharpened blades. They're just so effortless, light & easy to use. Even in my big old house's block I could mow its 3600 m square (almost 0.9 acre) lawns continuously with about 4 batteries in continuous rotation using a couple of slow (1 hour) chargers. With the bigger 4.0 AHs & 20/30 min charger a couple of batteries & a single charger would suffice.
But the best aspect of battery landscaping tools are their beautiful, blissful (relative) silence. Wherever possible I far prefer mains electric &/or battery alternative chainsaws, mowers, whipper snippers etc. where appropriate. Otherwise it's back to the old school 50:1 premixed "dinosaurs".
The concept of having to pause to exchange batteries every 20-30 mins or so isn't so bad either. These "smoko" intervals are welcomed for a cool, refreshing glass of water in hot weather. The end result was just as fast & with considerably less expended effort than a Briggs & Stratton powered conventional push mower. No noise, fumes or interrupted neighbour's BBQs/picnics etc. either. The old house was next to an infant school, which I could safely mow at any time without detrimental noise pollution for the litt'luns.
With the new Metabo 10.0 AH batteries & fast Duo chargers, I'd imagine that a mere 4 batteries (i.e. 2 x 18V = 36V) & an ASC 145 Duo charger would easily accommodate more or less continuous relatively uninterrupted mowing, with battery exchange (i.e. charge life) of about an hour or so.
I should perhaps also add that the old Bosch mowers are still going strong! One at about 20yrs old +/- & the other at 5!

"refreshing glass of water"?On a hot day there's nothing better than a Gin and tonic.

Gardening. So, so envy such "job", bit like painting (painters), there's saying: "as long as you can pee- you can paint (could be a painter)", meaning, there's nothing wrong to do gardening being drunk, no real skills or attention required... 😈

I have fairly simple, traditional tastes: for me it's whatever's on special @ the bottle-o, usually either Vickers, Gilbey's or Gordon's mixed with Schweppes or maybe Cascade. The lemon comes from the garden, well "fertilised" with the by-product of alcohol consumption.
