I don't get emotional about tools - if it's no good when it arrives, it goes back; if I don't like it after a while, I sell it (this one happens a lot!); if it breaks, I send it in for repair, repair it myself or throw it away.
I've not tried the Bosch plunge saw so can't really comment, I just wouldn't buy it expecting a cut price Mafell.
Bosch do some great middle-of-the-road tools. They do deals with other companies to share tech. Sometimes they really get something right (SDS as an example). Sometimes they get stuff wrong...
It's not the poor guys receiving the complaint who are at fault when something's not right.
Have you got yourself an MT55 now? (I can't remember from your posts!) It's a beauty, can't ever expect a mass market manufacturer (Bosch) to be as good as this (Mafell)!

Yup got mt55 corded to replace wsc265,to replace gkt55, to replace dw921... Yeah, Mafell is what it is meant to be 😉 If anything, opposed to clearly stated to many and having done so- wish well to Bosch, saw (GKT55) felt great, loved the handle and slightly bigger blade.
