Bosch is going places with their 18V line up. More powerful hammer drills and grinders as well as a seemingly decent addition to the 18V mitre saw segment:

It's alright, used it at World of Concrete. For something new, it seemed dated in design and functionality. Plus, only single bevel.

They could have made more of an effort to update the design. Perhaps a decent "no frills" saw.

From the design it looks like this is all Bosch without any mafell licensing (?)

Flipping through the pictures on the below link the GKT 18V-52 C looks pretty nice.
The sample was manufactured December 2018 though the plate had some specs that can't be right. Controlpanel gives away a five step battery indicator, temp gauge, eco mode and some kind of app control. Made in Hungary. gramha.net/media/2037284735755143995

Best or best bang for the buck?
In my opinion, the Festool Kapex is the "best" but its price makes it a low bang for buck.
Bosch would probably be my second choice.

I generally trust the recent additions to the blue Bosch line up. For corded mitre saws there are so many to choose from, Bosch has a few and some of them seem very good.
Welcome to the forum by the way. Not sure if you spelled your nickname correct - but maybe it was on purpose?

Bosch 18V mitre saw available over here at more or less the price I guessed. Looks fairly solid, will wait until it hits a brick and mortar shop and go cup a feel.

At first glance at the beginning of the thread I thought this was just the cordless version of their corded 55 with cosmetics. Now I see what the GKT 18V-52 GC Pro is. Bosch says it’s comparable to a 1,400 watt corded tool. (curious if they're comparing it to their corded 165mm blade). 5.5" / 140mm-20mm blade / +1.75" / 46mm depth of cut on rails (Bosch rials). 52mm without. (On a rail that just barely gets you through an exterior door in N.A. that isn’t cupped or has heavy paint). 9lbs / 4.1kg (saw only). 7/16” / 11mm to wall clearance. Max speed 5,500rpm Look how tiny the motor is. Really hope mafell leverages these newer motors with mafells features soon. http://instagr.am/p/B8KHXB-F7BE

That does look impressive for sure. Both size, ergonomics and performance seem very good.

The motor is crazy tiny!.. nice design too (i.e. no growth like the Mafell!). I still have nothing on the Bosch 18v platform, lots of tools that interest me, but not enough...

None of as actually know what was part of the deal.
The GKT55 is a cheaper saw than the the MT55CC - I certainly wouldn't expect it to come with all of the bells and whistles - I wouldn't expect it to be a blue Mafell.

Don't think Bosch enjoyed me getting "a tad emotional" at them and returning the saw... Let's say anyone who had dealt with my complaints deserved cigarette break. 😈
