I like this man and his videos, but I can't understand what his says. It would be good if English subtitles could come on these videos. My translation S/W indicates that he says: 1) "this machine $hits all over the competition, eating up wood like a strong Russian Bear In a field of berries". 2) "works on the tracks smoother than a Lada going down on an icy street" 3) "those imperialist capitalist pigs have come up with a tool for the people" 4) "the rails fit in the rail bag just like little Babushka dolls" 5) "the MUF does not have a Stassi or FSB wing like that other forum." 6) "the colour is commie-red, so it has to be good." dah, dah, dah... buy it at nyet-nyet-nyet.MUF.commie

If one is of Russian decent then my translation is probably not humourous. (Or grown up)
We are all divided by language. Even US to English has word and phrase differences. I doubt you will find amateur videos using subtitles. Luckily you did not pay much for my translation services. . The translation is more along the lines of Bucky Turgideson in "Dr. Strangleove", which was common perspective in McCarthy era extending (tailing off) into the current day.
(in the US at the moment, so I was not on the bottle)

I’m cornfused. The same video was posted recently on another thread here - Link. It was posted with the identical question that was answered. Because of that I assumed it was a setup / asking for pretty much what holmz responded with (?) The blowhard absurdity of propaganda rhetoric, from any country, has always been received as funny because - if you have to tell others you are the better than them, well then clearly they don’t think so … But if someone chooses to believe in the old us v them / divide & conquer game fine. Except none of what was written bashes anyone but the west. The Stasi line smacks up against MUF & the NSA in irony (or even ATT back in the day - the NSA’s legal partner then, & now). I really shouldn’t touch any of this with a 10 foot pole but it’s just that for someone to take offense you would assume that they speak their native language for it to hit that close to home and wouldn’t ask for translation, so I’m just curious is all. Is someone playing two characters here? (I smell and international plot.)

1) I’m cornfused. ... ... 2) The Stasi line smacks up against MUF & the NSA in irony (or even ATT back in the day - the NSA’s legal partner then, & now). ... (I smell and international plot.) 1) I am confused too. 2) Or... FOG (Apologies if it offended... At least I used "nyet nyet nyet" in the http line.) I do find it odd that there are so many Mafell videos from Russia. There is almost no presence in North America, and South America and Asia is near zero, and no authorised importer into Au or NZ. The Russians either make more videos per user, or they have a lot more users. In half of those videos they are wearing flip-flops and have a ciggy hanging off their lip... which I would have expected from Au or NZ.

At this time of the year when they're presumably freezing their arses off with a windchill factor of -40 to 60 degrees C, what else is there to do? Golf? Flying kites? I believe our Canadian & northern US friends are currently in a similar situation too.
If I was in mother Russia in midwinter then I too would be hangin' in the workshop, making stuff, possibly even the odd video.
Me? I'm currently out in the yard (no workshop, unfortunately) partway through a couple of embarrassingly late Christmas present picnic tables. My only usefully large covered workplace is a carport. The garden shed is so full of tools & junk that it's outdoors or nothin' for me.

laughed my ass off - just started watching 'Comrade Detective' on amazon so that really hit home. Saw 9 minutes of Comrade Detective, but the relatives were not laughing. I liked what I saw, so I need to put it in the list. Looks like te antithesis of Dr Strangelove. Deutchland 83 is more serious drama.

I bought the whole opening setup by Channing Tatum and Jon Ronson both sitting in an empty theater explaining that what I was about to watch was a digitally remastered series of a very popular detective show originally filmed in the 1980’s from behind the iron curtain & sponsored by the ‘state’. Took me about 5 minutes into the show to realized I had been had and a big shit eating grin came across my face and I went along with the spirit of it.
If the shows style of humor works for you and you continue to watch I might recommend that rather than let each show ending auto-start the next show that you go back to the series menu and select the next show from there. That’s because there are I think two or three more tongue & cheek setups by Tatum & Ronson that are omitted if you just let the next episode auto play.
Personally I have a soft spot for propaganda because it unfailingly exposes the farce of exactly what ones own or others own countries are doing right back to them, whether they’re aware of it or not. It's a power structure mocking itself without knowing it.

Maybe you should try the Aussie film "Kenny", it's not propaganda, but well done.
It is a documentary about a fellow that works for the ports pottie company called "SplashDown".

That's Aussie humor for ya, I mention I had a "big shit eating grin on my face" while watching the show and holmz thinks I might like a documentary about port-a-potties then.

It is actually one of the funniest movies I have seen, and I do not usually go for comedy.
