subject of King Trump.
TimberNut / ToolWolf - Mafell 160 rail (2) $154ea. / connector $78 / bag $95 = $481
Orbital (UK) - Bosch 1600 rail (2) / connector / bag = $129 US. + est ship $45 = $174 US (approx.)
way back I believe someone posted they got this deal even though they were in the states. I might be that you have to call them instead of email.

I’ve gotten a few Mafell and Bosch rails from Europe, usually through Amazon or eBay, and then after they ship they state no shipping to USA. Not sure what happens after the fact. Maybe it’s a Festool conspiracy.

I wonder if they are concerned about putting anything in writing and then getting stung by Bosch or reprimanded for selling out of assigned territory. Ultimately the mfg. looks the other way, to an extent, if you move a lot of product. But I don't know of any usa dealers for bosch rails (unless you're supposed to special order?) so I can't see how european sellers are stepping on any toes.

I really wanted the 2100 rail, TW just wouldn’t get one, didn’t understand I wanted a one piece unit for my table. Amazon.de or whatever had it, and I got it. Same with the Bosch rail and router kit, but I think that was ebay. TW kept saying it won’t come through shipping undamaged, it did. Every once in awhile I get a message in German if I can answer a question about it.
I just cannot understand the lack of USA penetration, well to a point with Mafell due to lack of brand recognition, but Bosch should have the channel in place.

Well... lol, I'm embarrassed to tell you that all my correspondence with Orbital was through email and that my suspicion that if you didn't ask in writing and called instead they would sell turned out to be true. (I remember someone on these boards saying they got the deal in the states no problem so it made me wonder). Persistance always is the key, when I called they were completely singing a different tune. Only downside is £95 for shipping i.e. shipping is as much as the whole kit. I only want one 160 and the connector to round things out so maybe I can sell one rail and the bag for $120 on eBay etc.

The +44 gets you to the UK border... and I think you drop the first 0 in the number after that. In the US the + translates to '011' and in other countries it can be '0011'. I just put in all my phone numbers in the phone with the +1 or +61 and then I can text or call from any country...

after all that, I cancelled the order with Orbital. It's a great deal even at £95 shipping but I'm just not interested in the hassle of selling the bag & extra rail later. Posting it / shipping it - not worth my time. You guys mentioned amazon.co.uk but I've never seen any reasonable deals there or if I do the shipping is too high (eBay.co.uk - yes). But I tried one last look and actually found some fair prices with cheap shipping fulfilled by amazon. Not as good a deal as Orbital but for my purposes it gets it done - thanks.
