The problem of 'pulling' the guide rail is the useless standard blade. Get the Bosch blade I mentioned previously in this thread (or another thread) and you'll be able to cut straight.
The black plastic hinges on the saw need removing, then grind away some of the plastic so it will move over a bit more, then it will line up better with the guide rail.
After that, don't cut wet wood (it can't cope); don't use for too long (or it smokes)...
... then either throw it away, sell it and get a decent saw, or use it for cutting up cardboard boxes - it does OK with them. (If you decide on the latter right now, no need to spend on the Bosch blade, the standard supplied blade does not flex when cutting cardboard.)
To be fair, it's a bit like the Festool TS55 - OK up to 19mm particle board.

OMG, I just picked this up as an emergency purchase after selling off my Mafell saws. Not even a bottle of Viagra will make this Metabo's shaft straight. :0

It's good for chopping up palettes to make firewood! Put a decent blade in it, it will already cut straighter.

It's good for chopping up palettes to make firewood! Put a decent blade in it, it will already cut straighter. I exclusively use Leitz blades. Is that good enough? KSS40 can out power this saw....(which makes sense to a degree with the smaller blade). The cuts are terrible. Blade deflection. Arbor nut adaptor (Metric and Imperial on one shaft, whoop di doo) has a lot of play. As seems to be the norm for current Metabo, I sanded the handle areas. Mafell is the only reason why I got into Metabo again. The 3-speed drill I’m hanging onto. Otherwise, I’m done with the brand. Mafell dealer is 40 minutes from my home. Festool dealers are all minutes away. Dewalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Hitachi and Bosch are available every square foot, it seems. Why would I bother with products that feature misaligned injection molds? I’ve been following the Bosch “strong arm”. It looks nice but demos I’ve seen, it appears to struggle even on sheet goods. The Makita XSH06 and XSH08, on the other hand, they sure look way more powerful than I even need. The XSH08 rides Festool rails and even has the track adjustment knobs ala all of the plunge saws on the market (the hk has them too). Unfortunately, it’s twice the price of the XSH06 for the privilege.

Leitz is OK, just chuck the standard Metabo blade.
I've sold on a lot of my Metabo, the drills and impact drivers/wrenches are good. The KS57 is still sat there with no takers...
If you want a one-saw-fits all - get an HKC55 - they're not too expensive, but can produce very clean cuts on the FS rail, can be used like a KSS saw on the FSK rail, and is a decent circular saw off the rails. (Just a shame about Festools huge and dated batteries..)
