Im looking at buying the mt55cc but here in the UK there are two packages. One with saw, two rails, rail bag, joiner, spare blade and clamps. The other has all that plus the f-wa bevel rail. Is the bevel attachment any good and worth having. Id like something for cutting perfect 90 degrees off a sheet edge if ot can do that.
That bigger package is only £30 more but I wont get it if the bevel is anything like the festool one

Because the accessory items are usually less expensive when you buy a kit, compared to purchasing individually, I'd suggest the F-WA bigger package. This way you get to try out the F-WA and if you don't like it you'll be able to sell it for at least what you paid for it. win - win.

The bag is nice, and the are nice clamps too. 2 rails does everything I need, and I got a third rail and cut it down for mounting on an MFT. I also have the mitre job in Bosch (Mafell F-WA), which has occasional use. Turns out I use exactly as they show here:

I wouldn't be without the F-WA. Cut one of the 1600 rails down to 1200/400 (or whatever works for you), buy another joiner if you'll need long runs (to put the two parts back together) - the 400 on the F-WA makes for a very quick cross cut rail at 90 deg - plus you can do angles as a bonus! You'll have a lot more options for working with different board sizes and restricted space with this setup, and as they are so quick to join, it's not a problem. Keep the Mafell joining key on the MT55 so it's always to hand. My longest rail is 1184 (to fit in my 1200mm case) - I can go up to about 5000m if need be with all rails together.

I suppose id want to crosscut maximum 600mm wide shelves etc with the F-wa so guessing an 800 rail with it would be handy

I'd have to check, you might get away with less. In any case, if you cut 800 off a 1600 rail you get 2x 800's... I prefer increasing the options by cutting ¼/¾ or ⅓/⅔ instead of ½/½ - I've got weird rail lengths but between them I've always got what I need for the job. My shortest rail is 200mm - perfect with the P1CC for short cuts - or on the F-WA for a short cross cut rail.
In any case ,your original question, yes get the package with the F-WA - for crucial cuts, I check it is square with a proper square before tightening properly even though the scale is pretty good.
It's 100 times better that the Festool equivalent.

Only realized today that the biggest package doesn't include two 1600s its one 1600 and one 800

2x 1600 allows the rail to overhang the 4x8 or 1200x2400 sheet. The clamps need some over hang, and the clamps are good... Hence 2x1600 rails are better for me.

Still only need the one rail connector. Sticking with stock clamps, they work even if I leave rail end shy of material edge 10mm. If I ever need more rail then it will be another 160 + extra connector all in bosch blue (stripped off - maybe add a roll of splinter guard in red to the order).

I bought the big kit and I'm pretty happy with all the stuff, though I was disappointed that the 1600 + 800 don't overhang a 4x8 sheet. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I'll eventually be picking up another long rail or two.

If you have 2 of the flat connectors then you can probably use the mitre job on one and and still get ~2800mm to 3-m (not sure how to clamp at that end... But it should not be too difficult.)

I just think its an odd package reducing the second 1600 to an 800 isn't good. Think I'll get package 1

Ended up buying kit 2 with 2 x 1600 rails. Loving the set up compared to my old ts55r. Scoring function is great. After one kitchen though it does seem to be struggling a bit. Im wondering if ripping two solid oak drawer fronts has blunted the blade 😞
