Thanks, Woodie! Would you kindly indulge me a couple more questions? 1. Does splitting up the duty of the vacumm with the Aerofix and the track saw diminish the dust collection capabilies? 2. Now, that you've had the Aerofix for awhile, do you see any other advantages of having it, other than a little extra speed? Oops, sorry for not getting this answered sooner. 1. Fine dust capture is still excellent. Larger chip collection seems to be only slightly reduced. Mafell really put some thought into the design of the air pathways on the rail connectors. The path connecting to the tool is polished smooth and has a tapered throat. It kind of reminds me of a velocity stack on a carburetor... anyone remember those. So far I've only used mine on unfinished plywood, mdf, and chipboard. I would think collection might be even better on sealed or finished materials, as your not bleeding as much suction off through clamping. 2. Ease of use is probably the biggest advantage, set the rail on the cutline and go. Not having to figure out how to clamp something that would otherwise be awkward or impossible to clamp. I wound up buying a few of Festool's alternative clamps in an attempt to work around some of this with my Festool rails (FS-Rapid Clamps and Gecko Guide Rail Clamps). In the end I found them to be too limiting so they now sit collecting dust. Although the Gecko is really handy for moving glass panels. Hope that's helpful info. I realize I still need to get a video put together on this too... oh where does all the time go

No need to apologize! It's hard getting enough time to get something like that together. I'm interested on how this would clamp along 8' sheets connected to another rail. I assume your suction would only be on the aero fix rail which is still a good run, just curious if there's play at the end. I'm thinking angle guide on the far end no clamp and aero fix...

I am also interested in knowing how well the aero fix rail works for cutting 8' lengths.

I ordered the longer flexi hose last week. When it comes in I'll report back on 8' cuts.

I am also interested in knowing how well the aero fix rail works for cutting 8' lengths. I don't think that'll be a problem at all. The suction was really strong when I saw it in action at a demo.

Exciting! Today I was watching on of the joiners using the jig for cutting the kitchen worktops joints and mess about clamping and I thought an aero fix version would be cool.
