I’m still getting to know the capabilities of my saw so slap me if this is already obvious…
The whole variety of bench dogs are really appealing to me for a mobile station so I thought because everyone has those cheap ⅛” aluminum straight edges laying around (the ones with the painted ruler markings that you use to keep box cutter razor lines straight) that you could use them as a rail spacer against the dogs to clear motor/base.
‘Rail dogs’ solve one issue for mafell rail, but lifting the rail repeatedly isn’t exactly smooth and with mafell’s thiner slots I think you could easily tweak the aluminum pulling dogs out of holes. So in a pinch you can use your ⅛” aluminum straight edge as a spacer (sans rail dogs) with conventional tall/short (parf) table top dogs, depending on depth of cut.
I had one laying around that’s been abused and was surprised to see no more than a .003 difference when pushed against dog edge of mafell rail.
They’re only about $7 and come in 48” & 72” x 2” wide. For a little more you could go to a metal supplier and get a ⅛” thick x 2.5” wide alu ‘bar’ and clear the motor entirely. ( you can also go 3/16” thick but fwiw the ⅛” matches the floppiness of the mafell rail pretty well and gets the job done.)
It’s not ideal, but it’s a decent & simple workaround if you already own the straight edge & doggies.
abdon: I stand corrected , the angle fence is only attaches with F -Tracks , what confused me was , that the Timberwolf site mentioned it will work with the NFU machine, yes it will work but only I guess when you use the Ftrack , with other tracks Like the KSS L.

glynnco: Did you order from GereedschapPro? I see them as in stock but I'm located in the US and am not sure if they ship here. I sent them an email asking about shipping but it was returned undeliverable...

jonathan: I've purchased a lot of stuff from our neighbours @ GereedschapPro.nl As far as I know they are one of the larger Mafell dealers in the EU. I can recommend them, they usually respond quickly.

lasse: Thanks for the tip! I have own a mafell rail which is 160 cm and one that is 80 cm. Will it work just as well or will I need to buy rail that is 110 cm?
