The Zeta is a slick system. One which I hope to add in the future. The Clamex is my main interest since I can think of many uses. In fact I have a project where that would be extremely valuable and will need to find an alternate method. I really like the idea of using the Clamex as a clamp in conjunction with glued dowels.

I think if I were to use this in conjunction with glued dowels, I would probably use the new Tenso instead as it would save the drilling step. It is also about half the cost of the Clamex. I had asked for some Tenso samples to be included with my order but they never made it.

Ahoy nucone, would love more Intel on the lamello zeta. If you were able to snap some pics of usage and perhaps a short overview of the product we can throw up a subsection for lamello products. Thanks for your insights.

Thanks for your insights. It will be several months before I can get this put together. I have several projects that do not require the zeta and still need to get some experience with this to do a fair review. With my very limited use to date, I am impressed with the machine.

No rush my friend. As I understand, you're in a professional shop. Curious about install time and cost effectiveness in short and long term. If I'm not mistaken, the zeta p can perform the same operations as the lamello classic, making it a more diverse machine. Hope we can keep your attention long enough for a good review.

GhostFist, For clarification, I do not run a professional shop. I have built quite a few retail store fixtures, displays, cabinets, furniture, and miscellaneous items for sale for my wife's stores as well as cabinet installations in my own home and volunteer church projects. I am just extraordinarily busy as I recently returned to the workforce from the wonderful world of early retirement, working on several furniture products, and dealing with several family weddings (and associated gifts).
The zeta p can perform the same operations as the Lamello Classic but a separate blade must be purchased since the zeta blade cuts a 7mm slot. Since I already had the classic, I didn't need to go that route. The only connectors I have on hand now are the Clamex P-15G and the Bisco. The P-15G connectors are less expensive than the P-15 connectors but is not quite as strong. Since I have given no thought to the review content, I would suggest posting questions in the Zeta P section of this forum and I'll do my best to cover it in a review.

I recently got the plastic 6mm knapp dowels and the pu+ glue. I have made up simply 90 degree joint glued all along the edge. Then deliberately broke the joint. All the joint stood the test it failed where the veneers of the ply pulled apart not at the glue. The glue expands slightly, but no where the same amount as gorrilla glue. Here is the pictures of the broken joint. The Attachments:

Amazing and very informative. I'm a hobbyist woodworker and also doing some woodworking projects. And this video helps me a lot. I also researched online regarding woodworking dowel joint and many blogs or articles guide me much more. Thanks for sharing.
