I had Paslode 18,16g nailers years ago and still own. Last year We built a store with a ton of trim and interior shiplap siding. Tired of the hose issues once again , i decided to try the new generation of paslode 16g nailer and it has worked flawless.
That being said, my 18g hasn't worked reliably in years but is my go to gun for most lighter and thinner trim that will be painted. So I made the systainer/senco pc1010 compressor combo. Quiet and organized but still a hose!
G, thanks for posting. I'm all over this.

It must have been the music in the video. Just ordered from Nail Gun Depot. 5% off with a box of nails added . I'll review when I receive.

I think Grex has a solid reputation for air tools so it would great if they can translate that success into cordless air tools.

If we compare cordless nailers suppose Milwaukee and dewalt would have the most reliable batteries yet the bulkiest. Senco's batteries are garbage and paslode are on a constant drain if you forget to pop them out. Two Asa's have got to win this one.

So, went to go buy this today and the dealer talked me out of it. The first batch had a load of problems and grex were Bastards to deal with apparently. Very disappointing. I had three cash in hand build quality seems really solid and it's so compact hope no one got burned on this

Ya as opposed to spending $600 walked out with a new folding ruler and a nice plumb Bob for peanuts. I've spent a lot of money there and they know me well

I've decided to correspond directly with grex, asking specifically about warranty coverage. I'll update with their response. I want this product to work damnit, holding it, it had a very good feel to it

So more follow up, I asked about availability of parts and they stated that they have ample and are available through any dealers, they also want to make parts available direct through them though this option is not currently available. Also they're hoping to get the 23g by Xmas but that's not guaranteed. Nice to know they're working on it. While I appreciate my local dealer advising against purchase, they were trying to steer me toward the senco's f18 which I know is a failure as I currently have a broken one collecting dust, or the Milwaukee which has some shady reviews. They did say that there's a skid of faulty dewalt waiting to be reserved so that's a no go as well. I might have to go back there and force them to sell me one. I don't know how good shop keeper experience is as opposed to professional user experience, if you catch my drift.

If the reported failures all happened in under 2 years time I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. If the failures were something that was likely to happen 3 months out of warranty and would cost half of the items new cost to fix (yea im talking about the damn kapex!) then I would be leery.

I always question the motives of resellers. As a general statement, the more boutique brands are usually lower margin in retail, since the idea is people will come out seeking the brand vs. having the reseller having to bring the customer in through advertising. Having things break on you also brings you back in the store, which gives them the chance for more sales. Maybe pushing you towards Senco/Milwaukee was no mistake; if the tool breaks, it doesn't cost them anything, and they can put the blame on Senco/Milwaukee. Them selling duds really works in their favor.

I tend to agree. The senco's has been somewhat redone since I bought it, but the batteries are still the same and there's no way to service it without shipping it off and paying. To me this product is still no good. So I'm a bit put off that the dude was so adamant on pushing it.
