Hi all, I am currently looking to buy a new jigsaw as my old Bosch is just about done. It will mainly be used for cutting laminated panels to a scribe line when fitting home offices and fitted bedroom furniture. Accuracy is very important to me. For a lot of my work I use down-cutting blades, how does the P1cc cope with this? I did read somewhere online that it wasn't something it excelled at due to its barrel grip but I suspect in real life it will be fine. Anyone used it with downcutters, how does it perform? I was also considering the Festool Carvex 420 but that seems to have very mixed reviews with regards adjustment of blades and straight cuts. Thanks.

Where are you at Scoot? And is there a model number for those blades? Or you could send a blade and I can try it and video it.
I have been having a bastard of a time jig sawing thin (0.6-mm, 0.024") titanium sheet. I probably need nibblers.

Tbh I haven't used and down cut blade in mine yet, but I don'tyou see how it would affect performance. I prefer barrel grip jigsaws and always choose them over d handles. Just what I'm used to I suppose.

I've had no problems using down cutting blades , Bosch T101BR , in the P1cc. I do the same type of work as you and they work a treat. I tend to use the angled base and set it to 30 degrees and then cut to the scribe line , then if the filler needs to have a bit more scribing off I just use a plane to adjust the line. I tried the cordless Festool carvex 420 and sent it back.

Scoot have you tried using an anti splinter insert in your Bosch with a modern Bosch blade like the Clean for Wood and Extra Clean (No splinters on both sides from my understanding) blades?
I'm considering trying some of the Starrett Dual Cut blades to see how they perform against the Bosch blades like the T101AO and T308B myself.
