Where the 36/27mm vaccuum hose connects
The business end with indicators of which direction the bits turn.
Indents on the side to line up
Hairlines to line up, both on a transparent plastic and etchings on the machine itself
Depth of plunge setting scale
Route-like height turret with presets for most common thicknesseses. Also note the etchings on the steel bar above for easy non-standard thicknesses.
Angle settings with detents.
Additional thickness stops
Displayed here are 6, 8, 10 & 12mm dowels next to a bench dog and a pencil to indicate the size. It goes all the way up to 16mmx80mm. Those are some serious dowels, the size of an an index finger. There's little you can't join with those.
A teaser of the upcoming how-to tutorial I'm writing on how to easily adapt your Mafell tools to Festool plug-it power cords without voiding your warranty.

Thanks for the images. Sure could use some pigtails...hint, hint. It's no problem for me to get my hands on 110v pigtails, but I'm not sure how much the shipping costs to the US/Canada will be. Also be aware I have to import these from the UK myself. If there's a real interest, send me a private message how many you want. I'll then look up how much it'll cost to ship. There's a real possibility you might be a lot cheaper off ordering from a UK dealer directly yourself, but I'll give it a look anyway, if needed.

I might be wrong, but I think Festool USA does't allow other festool dealers (overseas) to export to uSA.
Recently was a posting in Festoolownersgrop from a guy stationed in Germany and he offered to bring some pig tails. One day he got a message from Festool that they won't be able to sell him the pig tails. They also said that Festool will stop selling those to any country because some California law.
I know the pigtails are made mostly for UK market, but why a California law will prevent selling it to other countries?

As long as Jonathan doesn't place an order for 100 of these it shouldn't throw up any red flags with Festool. I'm guessing the interest was pretty high on the FOG and since that forum is owned and operated by Festool they decided to shut the purchase down.
