I read so many post from you in Taskfestool. Welcome! Thank You, Fidelfs. Talkfestool is a great, independent forum with some extraordinarily good members and people running it. what I particularly like is all views are welcome of tools good or bad, and no heavy handed admin or mods eager to delete/manipulate threads and posts that don't promote brands of their liking. It's just a real shame there's not much activity there. It only has a small number of regular posters...

I'm just starting my sander collection and I got this guy courtesy of Bosch. Bosch OS50VC ½ Sheet Sander I have never had a 1/2 sheet sander before but I am very impressed so far. I am sanding a bookcase and this seems to be the perfect application for this tool. I love it so far. Dust collection is amazing. Untitled by thedude306, on Flickr

thedude306 Any other thoughts before I buy this one? I thought I was happy with just a 1/3 sheet, but I'm getting lazy and think the added size and weight of the 1/2 sheet would help my work flow. I have the RS2E in my sights as well, but Jet.com is offering the OS50VC for <$250 currently after coupon, it'd be hard for me to cough up the extra $160 for the Festool...

The 115e is a joy to use. My first Mafell purchase.
I saw the iron shaped sander attachment yesterday in the box... But I have a used DX93 I use for corners, so I have no comment. (The mrs once said that she never heard of a fellow having 4 irons. (but all for ski wax).
For regular work the 115e is a champ. I find it sometimes grabs at a low speed, so usually run it faster more often then not. The screens last a long time. I use 120, 180 and 240. Usually just 120 and 180 does it unless one looks pretty closely.

absolutely love it. It's been a champ. Vibration control is great and I am still impressed with the DC every time I use it.

thedude306 Thanks! I just purchased one. Final price is around $222, cashing in on an AMEX offer I just found. Now to load up on some sandpaper...
