I've got a million ideas for jigs on this little guy. Once i get some built and tested I'm certain to share. I also have a mobile cart I've been working on for all my tools and my jigs will work off of that system. For now I'm still running with a rudimentary prototype but I'll upload some sketch up drawings and the like once they're ready

Regarding the 300 and the F rails. The 300 will work fin for perpendicular cuts however you reduce some overall cutting depth giver the F rails are thicker than the Flex rail or the miter rail. This thickness also prevents you from doing beveled cuts as the KSS will cut into the splinter guard on a bevel. Food for thought.

What do your ideas for jigs for the KSS300 relate to?

Just had an idea for a jig. Using the Tslot on the underside of the KSS track, one could fashion a mount for a length of Incra track with a Moveable stop block On it. The mount could have simple miter functionality as well. Bah ill try and render something. ....

Stupid idea, scrapped. It wont work and isn't worth the trouble. But there's room for something here.....

Stupid idea, scrapped. It wont work and isn't worth the trouble. But there's room for something here..... I hear ya. There are definitely jigs that will work for cutting small miters etc. I do the same thing all the time, have a great idea that works, and works, and works, then blows up with some semi-obvious fatal flaw that was somehow slipping through the thinking.

Alright so here's an idea. Film carpentry can thro things at you out of the blue, I like this challenge. The other day I was asked to make a couple of six pane windows and went through the process of slapping together a pair of cross cut sleds for the shops table saw so I could do all of my joinery on the mullions accurately. If you do windows on a regular basis, in your own shop you'd more than likely have taken the time to build a really good jig that you have off hand and i assume an order for some windows wouldn't just be thrown at you but in my world thats how its done a lot of the time. So ya I built my jigs out of scrap, and set it all up on the table saw and the joints came out beautiful but I thought, man this would be a breeze on my KSS 300 (didn't have it on me though). You'd make a similar looking jig keep your front and rear fences the same height as your mullion thickness, and now you can cut your joints with far greater visibility of the cuts, both your mitered cuts and your trenches, you wouldn't have to tie up the table saw that 5 other carpenters are in line for and it can be done at the workbench. Gonna have to try it the next time it comes up. In the long run though I suppose tight clean joints don't matter as much when our senic paint department ends up giving it a finish like this......

Thats a cool faux finnish. I would really like to see how this would work with the KSS 300.

Nothing real interesting to show yet but I have been using the KSS300 all the time lately. I went a couple months only using it a couple times total. Lately I have been using it a lot taking full advantage of all the features- KSS track, flex track, rip guide, off the rails, on F rails. I have a couple videos that I will post at some point showing the saw cutting some walnut. I think it would be interesting for people to view because it shows the power of the saw-surprising given it's miniature size.
Those are cool looking windows for a slap together quickly deal.
