I am in contact with someone that can make some dogs to be used with the mafell rails and the festool MFT. He needs a very accurate measure of the slot to make the dogs.
It has to be at thousands of measurement (0.001) to be precise.

Silly question do you not have a spare rail.you could give the guy to mess about with the rail. I take it you thinking of making dogs that slide into the rail. Good idea in principal I think, but he only problem I can think of is that two different metals can potentially expand or contact at different rates with atmospheric pressures. Just my thinking

No, I don't. I have only festool rails. My idea is that if this is possible then I will get the mafell rails.
I don't think this will be a problem. Festool is being doing this to connect the rails to the MFT without any problem.

I've made a sketchup drawing before in posted it in some other thread on the forum. I measured everything with a caliper but it's not as precise as you'd probably want it. sdrv.ms/190sU6o

It might be easier to take a Mafell clamp in to be used as a template. They're $55.30 for a pair, so less money than a rail and less likely to get damaged if you have to leave one with the machinist. I took some measurements of a rail and a clamp this morning, but I was using dial caliper's. I would say I'm definitely accurate to 100th of an inch and should be really close at 1000th. The clamp was easier to measure so those should be spot on.

Hi all,
I have Mafell guide rails, but I am making an MFTC mobile workbench and I'm trying to choose an aluminium T-slot section, to go around the perimiter of the MFT-style worktop, that will accomodate not only Mafell/Bosch clamps, but also Festool-compatible clamps.
Therefore, can anyone tell me ACCURATE dimensions of the T-slot on Festool products, necessary to accomodate Festool clamps?
Many thanks.

...believe me, I hunted Google images before I posted the above question, but I continued to hunt, and I was eventually rewarded with the information I sought (thankyou, Forrest Anderson), so I'll post it here, for the benefit of others who might need it: festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tools-accessories/ts55-guide-rail-question-newbie-here/I should add that I am wondering if the above drawing might be slightly mistaken - I was under the impression that the 1.5mm x 7.3mm ridge would be facing outwards (i.e. running within the opening of the T-slot, rather that oriented 180 degrees towards the deepest part of the T-slot). Can anyone confirm? Here is why I am wondering about this: (and I am also looking at my Mafell clamps, which have a similar ridge that definitely does face outwards (i.e. running within the opening of the T-slot):
