Love it, it will go nicely with my Metabo tools.
Cordless makes it much easier to import as well, no having to search for a 110v model.

Ideal saw for board & sheet material I reckon. Small, light & extremely versatile. As for framing etc. well.... that limited DOC is the killer.
In a lot of ways it actually makes more sense than the MT 55 CC. So much more compact for all those flooring and cabinetry jobs, kitchen installation etc. That flexistem on board is a real game changer. The ducks guts for sitework indoors, where the others & their rails are going to be just too big.
A question for all you afficionados: will it (& its sister KSP 40) also fit their existing range of alloy guiderails?

Yes it will work on the other guide rails apart from the kss type. The only thing is if doing bevals it will slightly undercut the rubber splinter guard

I love my kss300 and was going to buy this but I have found out it's a bit pricey.
What I was wanting was the deeper depth of cut for doing cut roofs, especially when there is a limited power source available
Having six Festool batteries I have decided to buy the Hkc 55 and Fsk 420 for £350. It's a no brainer for me.
But I still really want one.

I recently (about 2-3 weeks ago) went through the process of deciding what battery platform I was going to invest in. Up until now it had been Milwaukee. Now my choice was between Festool & Metabo & Makita because brace yourselves, they offer their tools in systainers. I have so many now it's become a deciding factor for me. Ultimately I went for Metabo because Mafell now also licenses their batteries and drills.
Makita has an enormous range of tools which is very very tempting, but they don't offer battery gauges on their batteries. Festool tempted me with the HKC 55 and the syslite. But in the end I found the syslite too expensive for the lumens it offers (850). Also they just don't offer enough tools and what they do offer is simply not up to par with the competition. The SDS hammer drill for example is a joke. So Metabo it is. Deciding factors were their 1800 lumen flood light and the fact they offer the SB 18 Quick. Which is the same small lightweight drill driver Mafell licenses with a 10v battery, but instead uses the 18v batteries. Love it! I am however very dissapointed to see that Mafell still cling to the 36v Bosch batteries instead of going for the 18v LiHD's from Metabo. It's a big mistake imho and it will cost them sales. The first ones being to me. I had hoped the new saws they release would all be 18v Metabo battery and that I could go with Metabo for the general construction tools and Mafell for woodworking. Alas it seems...
What is the model of the light ? www.gettoolsdirect.com.au/metabo-10-8v-powermax-work-lamp-tool-only-600369000.html?gdftrk=gdfV26854_a_7c442_a_7c1200_a_7c120414&gclid=CKfT-s-9z8gCFVgRvQodPTABpgJust put in some LEDs on the mrs car. A lot better than just making heat.

I have used my colleagues Metabo flood light - it is great! I am glad to see that the Metabo and Mafell batteries are cross platform - that will open up some possibilites for sure.

Ive see its.co.uk do it also. that was a good price,i see d&m are now listing it at £750,i will wait until the new year and get it from Germany,i think the price there will drop when the 'newness' wears off, thats what I found when I bought the 18v drill.
