Here is a short video I made of how I cut tapers on four legs using my P1CC and guide rail. This is for a Walnut end-table project. Got perfect results as expected.

Nice! Which blade did you use? Heiko It is one of my favorite blades as it has no set -- Bosch's T101DP -- the DP is thicker for parallel cuts and it is very smooth.

Nice job, Scot! I haven't seen our saw in a while...Is that a special base on your P1cc? Is it "locked" to the guide rail or, conversely, did you simply press the saw against the rail during the cuts?

The groove in the shoe fits the rail and it rides along that for straight cuts. It works quite well.

Are you in process with your maloof walnut project? I have been looking forward to that. Yes - I have built one chair in the rough and just need final shaping and to drill the holes for the spindles. I need to get back at it -- other projects took me away from it over the summer. I have tons of build pics so far that I will upload at some point in an album.

I saw the photo shown in the link, Wolfhound, and couldn't help thinking of Christopher Franke or Edgar Froese grinding it out on one of their [many] keyboards. The music itself also reminds me of when I saw Froese and Franke perform together at the old Paramount Theater in downtown Denver (1986). Along with the Jean-Luc Ponty show I saw in Tampa (Fables 1985), the Tangerine Dream concert I saw in Denver is the most unique musical experience I ever had. Once again, the music you linked us to resurrects some great musical memories for me. Keep up the good work and God rest Edgar's soul... ...and if anyone reading this got lost in translation, watch Michael Mann's film "Thief" and pay very close attention to the soundtrack. Not only will you be seeing a great film, but you'll be hearing the very soul of the music I'm referring to.

As Thief has been one of my favorite feature films since I first saw it in a theater back in 1981, Mr. Holmz, I'm not exactly impartial. Yes, the cinematography is great, Mann's writing and direction are top-notch and, as I alluded to in my last post, the music is fantastic. In fact, I don't believe I've ever watched a better union of action and music in a film. James Caan called his portrayal of master thief, Frank, his all-time favorite -- and I really think it shows.

The gun fights of Mann films are also noteworthy.

I suppose it's time to get back to the P1cc now ... Thanks again, Scot, for the great P1cc video (regardless of the music).
