It's only mdf crap. I don't know about other people but I would have kept the profile all the same through out the top level. At times its hard to understand the customers thought process then again I'm not paying

Im dealing with the designers. The set is supposed to be an old basement morgue, yet it has 10'6 high ceilings and crown molding

Here is a vid of how I return the mould down on the end of skirting. I know my way takes a bit longer than just doing a simple 45, but I believe gives a better result and also less chance of a gap opening at a later date

Erika is the greatest! My shop just bought a used grizzly slider.fiddling with it, I realize how much of the full sized machine features are on our little erka. Great bloody tool!

Or did I skip over the description part?

I think instead of returning the profile back towards the wall he's making it drop downwards toward the floor. I've seen it done and im guessing it's done more in Europe. Personally I like the look created by making an outside angle that returns to the wall. It shows off the nice contours of the molding.

Yep that's it. Also if not using Base blocks you will mitre the skirting into the base of the facing on the moulded part again it's so you get a nice flow
