I realize that there's tons of information about guide rails on the RAIL AND ATTACHMENTS board, but the sheer volume of post traffic has effectively buried a lot of the detailed information.
If one wishes to guide a Mafell circular saw -- OTHER THAN THE MT 55 -- what are the options?
We own the KSS80Ec/370, for example. Can we remove the saw from the 370 track and use it on a section of Festool track?
Any productive thoughts and/or experience(s) relating to the use of Mafell circular saws on the various makes/models/types of guide rail on the market would be greatly appreciated.

Thier is a couple of options on is the f rails where the saw rides on top of the rail and the splinter guard is placed similar idea to your kss rail. The other option is the rails for carpentry machines where you place the rail say 300mm or 12" parralel away from your marks then using the parralel edge guide and the adapters to hood on to the rail then slide the saw in or out to the mark. They are on the pricey side the only advantage I can see with them gaining 6mm in depth of cut. Unfortunately the festool rails don't work with mafell unless you have the mt55

Thanks for the reply, Aaron.
I understand that Bosch and/or Mafell manufacture a guide rail for their saws that's nearly identical to one another. Does anyone have any updated information on the best deal going for either type of guide rail? ... and we never deal with the "sole" US supplier, so we can just bypass that option ... enough said on that.

Basically the Mafell rails say Mafell in red and the Bosch rails say Bosch in blue. The splinter strips are also red/blue. I use a Mafell rail joiner to connect the cheaper Bosch rails. The saw has not complained. I have dolled up the rails but storing them in a Mafell rail storage bag, sort of like superman into a phone booth... Which no one knows about with cell/mobiles these days.
