If I buy the MT55cc, what do I need to buy to replace the ts55, 2 rails and connectors and the parallel guides.
Can I use my CT22 with the MT55? I will use it mostly to cut plywood sheets 4x8.
Can I use a mafell rail on the MFT? That is not that important because I am making my own and I will use the holes to get square cuts.
Fidel
P.S. I am debating what to buy first the MT55 or the P1cc, this is my hobby, but I take it seriously. I plan to buy one tool and keep it for long time.

The MT55cc is the only saw in Mafell's lineup that's designed to work with Festool guide rails. So if you have a few of these already you wouldn't need any Mafell rails, at least not initially. This makes it pretty easy to use the MFT/3 as well. The Mafell rails will not work on the MFT without some slight modifications to a couple parts on the MFT. The Mafell guide rails are really nice though and the Rail Joiner is a huge improvement over Festool's. I can't help you with the P1cc vs MT55 decision. I'd say you should have both . I bought a P1cc a few months ago and it's an awesome jigsaw. The MT55 is next on my list though, I just need to sell my TS75 first.

one more question for the USA guys. Is there a service department to fix the tools in USA or do they go to Europe? In other word, the dealer is providing the service or just sells the tools?

As I stay in the UK I can't say how service works in America, but my kss400 had to get sent back to Germany as it got over loaded ripping 50mm wet timber. Contacted the saw center glasgow where I bought it from and it got sent back Germany. Whilst it was away getting fixed I got a lend of another kss400 to use

For the USA theres usually an option or two before being sent to Germany. If its a simple fix they will send you the part and you can make the change. Anything too complicated gets sent back to Germany. Naturally any product being sent back will be done through your dealer.

Well, the first impression is that the Festool look plasticky, I know it is not, but that is the feeling (less quality materials). Festool makes sexier tools, I can tell if it was only for looks the TS wins.
I notice the weight on the Mafell is to the back where the saw is held by the user, the Festool is more at the middle of the tool.

Congrats! I gotta disagree. The feel and look of the Mafell is way more sexy than the TS. I've had both. That is, I still have the MT55cc..

I concur 50%, the feel is a lot better. You feel in your hands a real tool, solid and well made.
