I found some pictures and see that there isn't another plug behind the first. And, you probably couldn't use the festool slot. Instead of the clip, you could make a garage/dock/holster: festoolownersgroup.com/festool-jigs-tool-enhancements/ts55-garage/To your point jonathan, if it's located properly(balanced), I wouldn't think flex would be a huge problem. But, I think the biggest drawback is the potential wear and tear on the hinge and other parts that weren't designed for those stresses, as well as it requires more space(away from the wall). I think the rail would also make tolerances less forgiving. The little lip on the mafell rail works great which the saw on top, but when flipped up, you'd have to keep it pretty tight to the rail to keep it from falling off. I was surprised how much give the ts55 had in that video without falling off.
