I found this [old] one on my wife's camera. It's a photo of our KSS80Ec/370 that was taken just after the electrical modifications were completed ... another German import that's ready for work in the states.

Thanks, MrToolJunkie ... I was thinking that she took a pretty good photo of the Neutrik mod, too.

 What kind of electrical modifications were made? Plug adapter or voltage? If not voltage what are you using for step up transformer?

That was a Neutrik True One powerCon plug, and probably from Martek. It is a non proprietary version of a FT plugit cable.
I am pretty sure that most places in the US have 220v. And one doesn't need to step up 220v.

Most places have 220V near their oven or dryer. Anywhere else becomes purpose built or workshop.

One can make a long extension cord... And effectively bring the drier to the tool.

I'd rather use a transformer than some 100' extension cord. Not much jobs it flexibility if you have to search for a dryer outlet.
What is OP using for power source?

The "OP" -- aka, Red -- is using a 12.1 KW genset to power all of his 220V/50Hz power tools...and, as 220VAC is greatly preferred by the "OP" for this purpose, all of the cords employed for supplying 220VAC -- and any other necessary modifications -- were fabricated and/or made by a qualified electrical professional.
As for your questions about the photo in the original post, the short SOOW "pigtail" cord and the integrated Neutrik PowerCON adapter, attached to the KSS80 internally, were fabricated and installed by the same qualified electrical pro.

So does ^that^ mean the "aka Red" is hot?
I am trying to figure what "aka Red" translates to in Eu... "aka Brown" or "aka Blue"?
In Australia male "Reds" are generally referred to as "Bluey".
Maybe we need a translation subforum? P'rolly not.

Red = Red Oak
aka, Red = Also Know As, Red Oak
Take it away, Holmz...

Thanka. That's what I wanted to know. FYI - OP = Original Poster to thread I'd be be happy to answer any questions you have, Checkmax -- even if they're electrically-related -- but the fact that we've got a quiet forum here filled with working folks is what brings me back. In my humble opinion, acronyms are fairly impersonal and, as the thread starter, I'd prefer to be referred to by name...it's just another way to keep things a bit more civil and affable, in general.
Have a good one, Red
