I'm at a battery change once a week on my 18. Have been doing a fair bit of hole saw drilling though.

The powermaxx drill has a 5.2 amp Hr battery . Also for the US market a charger This Metabo/Mafell 10.8 drill has great specs and accesseroies. I've seen that charger on their site, but a quick search of the part number shows zero mention of it state-side, just other European dealers listing it, having copied the internal list from Metabo. Let me know if you have any luck through a dealer.

Well after a week of using the little cordless with the 4amp battery I had to eventually plug it in to charge today on Friday after a week of use. I'm well impressed with it just need to get the 13mm chuck and it will open up more options. A nice set of auger bits upto 22mm

Not heavy use just average, like you say hard to say. Going on my previous hilti 14v I recon it had done the same amount of work. It really is a pity I don't bore out for locks very often now. When I got my first 14v makita it would do one 1ock then after 2 years it was done. Then I had one of original hilti 12v that would do 1 lock as well. Then when I got the 14v li I could almost get 2 locks. I wouldn't be surprised if I couldn't get 2 locks out of the battery. When I give it a proper hard test like a lock will see how to goes

What kind of bit to use for a lock?
I tried to drill the head off of a tek screw the other day and the bits were just smoking up. I ended up dreaming the heads off.
But the Mrs has a locked fie cabinet...

The little 10.8. I probably need to hit the gym, as the beer curls are building up the 6-packs better than the arms. Plus getting into small places seems like a worthwhile use. I have a Bosch unit that is 15 years old, that I could get more batteries for, and a large Bosch hammerdrill which I have also used to drive in ramset concrete screws. So I figure either corded, or small enough to be convenient. Plus I am not as big of a fan of cordless tools as seems to be the norm these days... One seems to be searching for an outlet and the charger as often as if they were using a corded drill. I left the Festool Centrotek set at the Mrs work, and heading over there in a bit to finish up some stuff, so I will see if they fit this unit. I had planned on one of the FT versions, but I am cheap.I checked and the Cenrotek seems to fit just fine. It maybe 6-mm and the M10 might be 1/4"... I found the calliper's box, but not the callipers. Looks like XMAS with the red and green going on

I bought the A10m the other day, it has taken over from my Festool cxs.
I love it. Is it compatible with Metabo batteries? I would like the 5.2 amp
