I just read a thread from 2013 in which the thread's author modified some of his Mafell power tools -- including the P1 CC -- by replacing the OEM power cord with a Festool receptacle.
Has anyone else completed this conversion on a 230V powered P1 CC?
After replacing the Mafell power cord on our P1 CC with a 14/2 SOOW cord equipped with a plug ( a NEMA L14-30P ) that's compatible with our genset, I'm not very happy with the final results. For one thing, the new cord -- which is a bit longer than the OEM version -- doesn't fit nicely into the Mafell systainer and, when you do cram it in there, there's no room for things like the extra blades I've been collecting.
If the Festool modification leaves only a short receptacle on the tool, this would seem to solve the systainer space issue.
Any productive thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your time ...

Don't have it with my at the moment but I'll snap some pictures for when I get home. It's a relatively easy modification to do. The procedure is almost identical to the one I used on my DD40 so that should give you an idea. (picture tutorial for DD40 can be found in my signature below this post)
If you're happy with a longer pigtail it's a dead easy modification since you don't have to mess around with shortening it and making it look pretty

Also check out those neutrik pigtails as they seem even better than the festool version.

Thanks, Jonathan. As ever, I'm sure that whatever you contribute will be excellent. By the way, the terminal blocks provided for the power cord connections are very delicate looking, don't you think?
Might I trouble you for some Neutrik part numbers, GhostFist?

I just did some research on the Festool site that I normally buy from, Jonathan.
I wasn't able to bring up the Festool plug-it featured in your DD40 essay, so would you also kindly share the Festool part number for the pigtail you used?

I have not modified any Mafell stuff - I just keep the cord and plug it comes with = it is a tight fit in the Systainer for sure.

Not available in North America. which came to us looking into other options like neutrik It was inspired by Jonathan's power cord modification, but, as noted by GhostFist, the ready-made Festool pigtails don't seem to be available in North America. Well, here's a way for Mafell tool owners in North America to gain some space in their Mafell-Max systainers:

Could anyone help ? I've unscrewed the brown and blue wires and can't remember if the blue was on the left connector or on the right ? If any of the P1cc users could unscrew theirs just to double check ? That would be extremely helpful. Thanks guys

I'd wait for someone else to confirm, but that looks to be the wrong way to me. I'm sure that when I did mine the active (brown wire) was on the right. Dont have mine with me at the moment - PLEASE wait until someone can confirm.

Neutral (White) was on the side facing the front (Blade holder) side of the jigsaw for me.

During my brief reprieve from my vertigo (only had to grab onto something once while taking the pic). And correct four mistyped words ......

I would still but the active colour correct , which is easier with blue and brown rather than us colors.
