I think that a KSS would fit your work - I can show you my KSS80 if you ever want to go down that path - it cuts 1/32nd shy of 4x material. The 400 would be lighter and I think would work very well for deck and construction work with high accuracy. The jigsaw is a game changer for me and I own and use all the top brands, but this one is in a league all by itself IMHO and it is what made me a believer in Mafell tools. 7 - I thought you got your KSS400 specifically for deck builds, is that right? Yes, that is the single reason I bought the KSS400. I do my decks exactly the same way calidecks shows in the picture to avoid all the goofy staggered seams. If I do a border around the perimeter I cut all those with the kss track as well as cutting the deck boards to length for the main body. That way I avoid packing them to a miter saw or holding a speed square against the decking and running the worm drive base along the speed square edge to get square cuts. Calidecks- Is the white facia Azek or something else?

Ok gentlemen, when does it end? Just ordered a 5'2" rail. Has anyone left in the instructions to not require a signature at delivery? If so did it work? It doesn't. I just ordered 3 bosch 1600mm rails. One with the 32mm holes. the dude- where do you order rails from? your in canada correct?

I got them out of the UK at Lawson HIS. Shipping was expensive, but I needed a holy bosch rail.

Ok, I received my rails, connector and bag today. All I can say is I'm no longer going to be carrying that 118" festool real to and from the job sites. I absolutely love the Mafell rails. Thanks everyone for all the help. I will report on in the field performance, I'm just having some material supply issues on a job right now so it could be awhile before then.

Here's the bag, I debated on buying it, but I really didn't have much of a choice due to the need to transport from job to job. As expected it's very well made

Also I'm sure you guys already know this, but the wrench that comes with the connector also fits the blade bolt. So I store that Allen wrench in place of the blade wrench that came with the saw. It fits in the slot that holds the wrench perfectly.

Very cool! Correct me if I am wrong, but does the bag also have little partitions to separate the rails?

The rail bag is awesome. Had mine for years now. Holding up well. No internal partitions/divider to separate the rails, but that's not really needed. The side bag holds extra connectors, rail end caps, rail clamps, etc. Well worth getting if you want to take your tracks to a job site.
