Ok gentlemen, when does it end? Just ordered a 5'2" rail. Has anyone left in the instructions to not require a signature at delivery? If so did it work?

Wasn't sure where to ask this, and couldn't find any info after a brief search - does anyone know if the festool guide rail adapter, for their routers, will fit the Mafell rail?

No it won't work unless you modified the adapter. It would be a case of making the groove I guess about 3mm to ride along the ridge of the rail. The ride on the festool rails is a lot wider than mafell rails

CD - you will be adding another rail or two, the angle fence, a couple of rail connectors and don't forget a pair of clamps that are thinner to fit in the Mafell rail.

I think you'd like the KSS 400 a lot for decks. Sounded like in another thread you sort of eliminated that one though.
Do you use a worm drive or sidewinder for framing and cutting stair stringers? I assume worm drive if the cali in calidecks means california. If your west coast and not using a worm drive your an anomaly.

I think that a KSS would fit your work - I can show you my KSS80 if you ever want to go down that path - it cuts 1/32nd shy of 4x material. The 400 would be lighter and I think would work very well for deck and construction work with high accuracy.
The jigsaw is a game changer for me and I own and use all the top brands, but this one is in a league all by itself IMHO and it is what made me a believer in Mafell tools.
7 - I thought you got your KSS400 specifically for deck builds, is that right?

Actually I purchased the mt55cc for what we call seamboards. Where we cut a board in the middle of a deck to break the boards up from having butt joints. Here is a pic. I use the track to cut the line perfect. Also I use it to cut in the picture frame borders as well.
