As a new mafell owner, I too am going to be switching to only Mafell rails. I have 2 - 5' rails now. I hate the way festool splinter guards keep moving on me. The Mafell splinter guard is locked into a keyway. Much better imo. That's great your liking the new gear. How are you finding connecting the rails? Here's the picture, it's goofy because of the panorama but you get the idea: Untitled by thedude306, on Flickr and that's 6 rails, three 1.6m, one 1.1m and two .8m Untitled by thedude306, on Flickr

@ calidecks ; I would also love to know how you are liking your new saw and rails. Anything you don't like about the saw or rails compared to the festool saw and rails you had ?
Thank you.

The Mafell rail clamps work for the 5mm gap for pocket door ,helped pull the oak tight to the split jamb.

Does it use the Bosch/Mafell connectors? Stated that right in the image. So, yes, Metabo will have one branded with their name too.

* edit update - if you're reading this old thread apparently the Metabo connectors are physically larger than the Bosch/Mafell versions are not interchangeable. (couldn't tell this from online photos). Sure look the same
