Well after 20 years of never having any accidents with any power tools I managed to take the sides of my index and ringer finger off and some of the bone as well. Using the ksp 85 to rip some firrings for a flat roof I went to reposition the wood and saw together and when I did, I didn't wait to the blade was fully stopped and it got two of my fingers down to the bone. Yesterday I had to go into the plastic surgeon. Where they lifted off the nail beds and shortened the bone length at the tip then stitched the skin over to seal the wound. At one moment they where only going to do 1 finger and just have dressing on the other finger. If they had it was going to be a year off work. So I'm glad they did both. Obviously extremely sore and the pain in my palm feels like a nail is being driven through my hand. A little bit annoyed with myself as I usually never but any fingers near a spinning blades. I've to get the dressing changed in a week then the stitches out in 2 weeks. Which I'm hoping I can get back to work of some kind Attachments:

Been there. Sucks but it sounds like no surgery which is a plus. You will be working soon enough. I sawed my thumb and it made for difficult work. You will be able to grasp using your thumb and palm. Hurts less if you're distracted with work anyway

The only thing they had to do was shorten the bone so the skin could go over and be stitched. At least no fingers chopped off and no skin crafts. Hopefully in 2 weeks be safe from infection then can get back to it

Sorry to hear Aaron. I crushed two fingers, ring and pinky at the last digit about five years ago.the last digit on my pinky was removed and my ring finger was pinned back together. It is now fused at the last joint. I know exactly what you're going through. In my case the pain was like nothing I had experienced before. I had six months out of work due to infection risks with my ring finger. Wishing you a speedy recovery. to everyone else....STAY SAFE!

Fingers feeling a bit better and not as sore don't have the sharp shooting pain in my hand. Just a warm pushing feeling in the damaged fingers and felt I haven't needed the same amount of pain killers during the day day. Obviously still tender.,yet any improvements on the hand feels is an improvement.

Due to the crush severity of my accident, I spent two nights in hospital on an opiate drip. The gave me an oxy prescription when I was discharged but I took as few as possible and ended up disposing of the remainder. post some stitch pics when you can as a good horror show reminder to everyone else to stay alert. I got some I'll dig up

OK. Will take some pics I should have taken some pics before they fixed them with missing flesh and the bone showing. One moment in life your guard is let down and in that moment of your life everything is changed for ever.
