I've got to answer this question quickly, so I don't have the luxury of searching the forum right now.
Will Festool brand jigsaw blades function properly in the Mafell P1cc?
Thanks in advance for your help ...

Thanks for the reply WWW. Are the Festool blades worth the extra money? I haven't been on the MUF long, but, so far, my reading is telling me that many P1cc users are employing Bosch blades for their work.

The Mafell blades are manufactured by Bosch and identical, so I'd go for Bosch over Festool. The ones with a Bosch logo are also cheaper than those with Mafell logo.

I only used the festool blades as they where a freebie. Truthfully I didn't think they where any better than the bosch blades

Better off with bosch. I've got a pile of festool blades and much prefer the bosch.

The Festool ones are non-standard (wider) kerf, which means it'll need that much extra power to push through the wood.

That's not the problem with the festool blades. I find they don't cut as nice as the bosch.

Take a quick look at the P1CC Perfection thread. I dd some cuts with bosch blades that I was exited about when I first got the P1cc. You should only need to look at the first few pages. I have also had good luck with the Bosch blades on the Mafell saw.

It's highly likely bosch do manufacture festool blades, they have under the bosch branding more options at a cheaper price, imo

Bosch and Festool make good blades - I have success with either brand. One is made in Germany and the other is made in Switzerland. I think that Bosch is the pioneer in this area and has come up with a plethora of blade configurations - tooth count, set, materials, etc... Lots of choices out there. Festool also has a good range, although not as extensive as Bosch. Cost is pretty close, but Festool is a little higher cost. The 50 blade assortment pack is actually a good value, though. I like the Mafell blades I have used, but these are likely rebranded Bosch blades and there is a significant price jump for these blades. The Cunex blade is an exception that is limited to Mafell only.
I think that to get 90 degree cuts you need a thick blade. The Carvex labeled or Trion labeled fall into this category as do Bosch blades that have "DP" in the name. These blades are thicker and so they do not deflect as much as thinner blades. My favorite is Bosch T101DP. It can leave ultra smooth cuts in wood up to 8/4 with no need for clean-up - light sanding is all before finish. Festool has an equivalent Carvex or Trion labeled version that is S75/4FS. Excat same tooth configuration. I also like the Xtra-clean and Progessor blades. The Xtra clean blades work well in sheet goods and the Progessor are good general purpose blades that cut well, pretty clean and fast, but not as smooth of a finish as the 101DP blade.

I noticed there seemed to be a polytheistic theme going on.
