I haven't brought myself to firing it up again or peeking inside but I'm positive I burned the motor by pushing the mashine way beyond it's intended purposes. I was impressed with how often I could do things like that, but ultimately you end up hurting the ones you love I suppose. Might be possible to repair but I'm unsure.

Get it fixed... They have screws on them to facilitate that, so send it in. As least get the quote - and you can decide from there.

Or just buy a new one...if it was that integral to your work I would be buying a replacement in a heartbeat. Some tools are like that.

If they will not fix it for you, then maybe send it to the Canadian fellow to tear it apart?

Sorry to hear that. I have the cordless one. Did originally buy the corded but returned it for this. I cant compare it to the corded version as i never used it but Its very good. Cut and 16 square metes of laminate flooring and then the mdf skirting 1 battery. Takes no longer than an hr to charge.

The new Mafell cordless? I've been bugging certain germans about this. Mainly trying to confirm if metabo batteries will work on the saw.The charger they sell is 220v only, Mafell seems scared to try charging their batteries on a 110 charger. My question is what really would be the difference? output is the exact same 18v @5.2amp After I pay off the Erika If all that checks out I'll be ordering one

I took a long hard look at the Cordless Mafell offerings but today I ordered the KSS60cc with some extra blades and both the 400/770 fixed rails. It is my first plunge/circ saw I have bought unseen! I kind of trust Mafell on this one as I have been very pleased and still use the KSS300. Delivery in about one to two weeks. I bought it without the box as it is a L-Boxx - and the charge 97 EURO for it (!) and I have no use for it.
