From what I understand, festool fits the metabo/mafell but not the other way around.

Do the attachments of Festool drills fit the Metabo/Mafell? Like the right angle and offset chuck? I cannot seem to find the right angle attachment for the Metabo anywhere. Ghostfist - I think you ordered this drill recently? Might I ask where you got it? Thanks

I ordered the metabo hammer drill varient. The right angle and offset chucks from festool will not lock into place without some sort of yet to be produced adapter. The metabo right angle chuck I ordered through a local retailer. Note that in North America it seems that this drill does not include the lightweight quick change chuck and it must also be ordered separately. As of now I don't have that little guy but have just been using my old centrotec

You can use the old Festool or Protool rightanglechuck with the clamp for 43mm collar.

Been thinking about adding one of these to my arsenal - the torque looks pretty good and the only thing better that I have seen in cordless is Hilti's 18v...I prefer the German made drills.
It does not seem that the Metabo comes with the little chuck - and I cannot find a part number. Is this only available overseas? Looks like the right angle is a special order. Also looking at the Festool PDC. My guess is the Mafell offering of this drill is going to be several hundred more...but includes the different chucks.

My advice by the Metabo here and order the chucks from all euro dealer. Huge mark up on them in North America. Very happy with my drill

Me too. Performance is great, and the additional chucks are very well engineered and a pleasure to use. I'd be very surprised if the drill didn't come with the bit holder chuck. Maybe only the 'Quick' version comes with it?

So your guess is as good as mine.
