Just a thought, I wonder if the router table attachment would fit festool routers. They are of similar constriction and I believe festools are actually based off of mafell designs

I think one could use the Festool considering the attachment system on the Erika. If I remember correctly its a really simple attachment and didn't appear proprietary.

there's also a seperate universal router attachment adapter plate available for the erika.

It seems like the adapter plate would do the trick for festool routers. I guess there's no height adjustment over the table, though, and I am wondering what the size of the opening is - max bit size?

I had a router table with above table adjustment but never used it. It was faster and just as easy to reach under the table with one hand.....so it really depends on how the lifting mechanism works(Think it was a Triton). I have a jessem table with the turning knob thing on the side......really cool but I dont take the table out of the shop unless I have to.....rolls into the trailer.
I dont think I would get the Erika Version unless I want the extra table support. Then the Router option would be an added bonus if I ever needed it. When I set up on site I like having stations like a real shop......Miter saw station, Table saw station, Glueing station with table, Router table station. One will loose a lot of efficiency and accuracy if your switching back and forth between functions. For a portable option that little Kreg table looks like a good buy, but I've never used it. The table I had with the Triton was in the larger Kreg Table and it was a good setup so maybe the mini Kreg would be good as well?

Agree jalvis. I was at first taken with the cms when it was released here but decided it's price outweighed its usability for me. Im all for buying the best but not at all about buying to be flashy, if you catch my drift. I have a feeling the price for the mafell router attachment probably isnt justifiable in my case.

The CMS does look like a good router table. I wonder if the older OF2000 can fit in the CMS? Its less than $200 on the recon sale which would bring the CMS price to a more realistic range. On a side note. If I was going to buy the Erika the Sliding table would be purchased with the machine. Thats a great accessory that separates it from other options and would make squaring small panels onsite easy.

I like the dovetail profiles on the sliding table that can be used to extend the surface to do larger panels. This is on an older Erika but the attachments look similar

What a great saw! I can see lots of great uses for this tool in any shop. If I remember correctly the capacity for the Erika 85 slider allows for squaring standard cabinet lowers.

! I know. I like the various configurations possible.
In the beginning of the video, it looks like there are two fence guide extensions joined and mounted on the outside on the sliding table?
