I just placed an order for a motherland of accessories from Tobias. The overall savings is on the order of $400 or about 25%. For smaller items the shipping cost is $40-$50USD and will arrive in about 5 days via UPS. It does not take much of an order of small stuff such as saw blades, dowels, dowel bits, clamps, or most of the saw accessories to offset the shipping cost difference and save a decent amount of money.
I ordered the Guide Pocket Set (F80/F160/F-WA/F-SZ/F-VS, rail bag), Extension Template Guide and F210. This required a separate shipping cost of about $150USD, which still saved over $250. The only item I did not purchase is the Aerofix. I was close, but decided to restrain for now.
I am done with the larger stuff for now and any future orders will be for small stuff with the lower shipping price. I'd encourage anyone to check out (http://www.elektrowerkzeug-shop.net) and the POC is Tobias. He speaks great English and is very patient. Keep in mind with the time change, messages generally are not replied to until the next day. I am sure there are other establishments that can accommodate others, but I was working off a referral and my results for optimal.

Joe, Where do you live? I'm in California and would like to buy some of the Bosch quick release track clamps that are not offered by Timberwolf. Jack

Jack Currently living in Colorado ,cant help with the Bosch clamps .Looks like a great clamp for tracksaw use.
A real mystery why Mafell does not make longer rail clamps. The large carpentry beam saws can ride on the F tracks , cutting beams over 100mm in thickness . Get creative with welding a extension bar to the standard rail clamps.

Mafell won't let Tobias offer the 120v versions of their tools, which I am 100% confident are the ones sold in the UK with the difference being 50 versus 60Hz. They are universal motors so they don't care about 110v/50hz or 120/60Hz. That said I did not have the guts to order one the UK 110 volt versions and then swap the cord.
Also, I paid for my order on Friday afternoon, but the items did not ship until Tuesday (Monday was a German holiday too). They arrive tomorrow. I'll report back after I have a chance to open the boxes. Nothing but accessories in the order (no powered items).
The bag and rail set is a steal at <300 ¢ either kit is a deal and even with shipping the savings is substantial. Might be worth adding some blades or other small/flat accessories. Tobias can tell you what will fit without requiring a separate box. I think the shipping cost is all but fixed due to dimensional weight rules. I purchase the F210 rail in addition to the kit containing the F80/F160.

There is a transformed that timberwolf sells, then you can go 110 or 220v.
In theory one could probably save enough on a 220v tool to cover the xfprmer .

Having never done this it fails the test of "sounds to be to be true". While we both know it will work there has to be a compromise somewhere. In practice you could by a transformer for each tool and still save money. Timberwolf sells a 110v to 220v converter for $145. Some examples (Tool -> Timberwolf $ -> Tobias € ->USD): P1cc-> $735 -> 352€ -> $385 MT55cc -> $836-> 470€ -> $515 DD40P -> $1264 -> 672€ -> $737 MF26cc -> $2380 -> 1092€ -> $1197 Of course there will be shipping which would run around 50€ or $55 and you have to account for not having a warranty, though you might be able to register it on the Mafell site and send it back if it failed. A lot of the price differential is the exchange rate. $1.10 = 1€. A year ago (and several years before that) 1€ cost $1.50. Shipping rails is significantly more expensive at $160 for an F210 and you can't ship a tool in the same box as a rail.

Shipping rails is significantly more expensive at $160 for an F210 and you can't ship a tool in the same box as a rail. Well I just got the Domino 700 today. The Festool/Au price is $2085 ... From Italy it was 1250 AUD equivilant, plus another 50 for shipping. I could not have justified 2k AUD. Of course both the small and large domino systainers, and the Seneca gear gobbled up the savings... But I needed them any how. On the rails, while I like the look of the Mafell, I got the 3 Bosch 1400 rails and a bag, which the email says shipped today. I did get the Mafell connector to spruce them up, as well as the Mafell clamps, but as those are on the underside they won't really spruce them up a whole lot. And I sort of like the idea of a mix-n-match, so as to not come across as a total 'nose in the air', 'on my high horse' 'fan boi'. I forget what the savings was, but via Dictum they were going to charge 500 euro or more for shipping with a rail. It was odd because I got the Bosch FSA 32 drill rail and router guide and shipping was only 115 Euros??? Jim the more important question is... Will you be using the tool in a shop or out in the field? It is a pretty tractable endeavour to make a 220 US to Euro extension cord, and you could get a sparky to do that for you, which would be safest. Then I doubt you would run multiple tools at once? If you only have a single tool then it seems problematic, and I would go for the transformer. I plugged an AU to US transformer into the vacuum to run a Makita variable-speed polisher. As soon as the vacuum sees the tiny amount of current that the transformer is using it fires up the vacuum. So it is all manual on/off using that tool. For multiple 220v tools, then I think that the most straight forward would be an Eu vacuum and plug the tool into that, and then have the cord on that go into the transformer or into a US dryer cord. It is difficult to determine what to do, but I made the decision to go predominantly with 220v. If/When I get to the states I will sort out the power.

Joe, Where do you live? I'm in California and would like to buy some of the Bosch quick release track clamps that are not offered by Timberwolf. Jack I like working though Tobias. With Tobias you get Tobias, and always Tobias, which is nice. His prices are also good. However when he does not have what I need I go through dictum www.dictum.com/en/Their web site is easier with Price in USD, "no VAT", and "language = English". Chrome's browser will also all to set up "always translate German to English". If you only need the clamps, I can sell you a set to arrive in ~month. They are on their way to Lincoln, and I subsequently ordered the Bosch FSN 32 kit with clamps, the router plate and the drilled rail in 800-mm. I already paided Lincoln 85 AUD, so it they would be about 78-80 US$ with shipping. If you get a shirt or two then that would fit into the box too.

I don't think you can go wrong with 220v and if you are at home or in your shop you could configure a 240v outlet for it. You might even be able to purchase a 240 outlet so you don't have to change the plug. I agree with you on the vacuum. It's a really good idea and I believe the 240v are more efficient. The 500 Euros for shipping the rail is outrageous compared to what Tobias charged ($160) and it covered the longer template guide, the guide rail set, and an F210. It would have been about $20 cheaper if I had skipped the F210. I swapped my Track saw, jigsaw, and Domino for the equivalent Mafell models for different reasons. Track saw for the vastly superior rails, jigsaw because no other one can even compete, Domino (for the DD4) for the versatility and to get rid of the LR 32, which as I have posted before is madness to use, much less use accurately. I am spread out amongst several brands (SawStop, Delta, PowerMatic, and others for stationary tools) and Bosch, Festool, some one-off speciality tools by different manufacturers and now a couple of Mafell tools. I really have my eye on the groove cutter for dadoes, but can't stomach the price yet. Does anyone have one of these?

I and to get rid of the LR 32... I sent you a PM on FOG. I am seeming interested in your MFT conversion kit. Hopefully I can mount it on a rail on some sort of table?
