I just noticed that I joined the ranks of "God" like 7 and Woodwright, LOL. Then can't you just put your hand on it and heal it? You have to give us mere mortals faith. Oh, and make a video of this happening, please.

Well Timberwolf is coming through in excellent service fashion. They are sending me a brand new P1CC with a return label to send the broken one back to them. Cannot ask for anything better than that and I think they have handled this in a great manner. They also said that they will let me know what was wrong with it once they take it a part. I also bought a packet of different blades from them to try since the cut was deep and I do not want to encounter this same thing happening again. My guess is it was a flukey thing, but maybe this blade has a different tooth configuration than what I was using. At any rate I am a happy with how it has all turned out so far.

I don't think you can have any complaints with that service. All seems very good

While I haven't had any warranty issues yet, this sounds consistent with my other customer service experiences with Timberwolf (top notch).
Curious to hear if the new blades behave any differently!

Back in business!! Got the new saw and it sounds awesome! Have not had a chance to take it to wood yet, but I think everything is smooth running.

Did some test cuts and everything worked out perfectly. Love this saw...
BTW - the W3 blades I bought are identical to Bosch's T344DP blades (which are the thicker Bosch blades without a set to the tooth configuration). They cut pretty well, just not as cleanly as the T101DP blades, which are my favorite for 8/4 or thinner.

I guess we have to wait to hear back from timberwolf to find out what went wrong on the original.

I guess we have to wait to hear back from timberwolf to find out what went wrong on the original. Yep - David assured me he would let me know once they have taken the machine apart and determined the cause. We think it is the orbital gear mechanism that moves the plunger up and down, but it is a guess at this point. I will report back as soon as I learn what it was.

Got a chance to use my new P1CC lots today cutting back legs for my Maloof inspired high-back chairs from 8/4 Walnut. With a Bosch T101DP blade I got smooth and perpendicular cuts. Have lots of hand work to do, but it cut through the Walnut quickly.

So, just to be clear (in light of the other thread), have you tried making the same cuts that broke the saw originally? IOW was it really something wrong with the saw, or are you guys just pushing the tool beyond its limits?

IOW was it really something wrong with the saw, or are you guys just pushing the tool beyond its limits? I have not duplicated the cut - have not had a need to do so. I am not sure if I was pushing it past its limits or not - I was using the correct blade and at a slight bevel. I think it was just a dud part. TWT confirmed that they have only had one other failure in the past, so I think it is a pretty uncommon occurrence. But, it can happen and no tool is bullet-proof. I have read similar threads about the Carvex having the same issue too FWIW.

My P1CC did the exact same thing yesterday when cutting 1/8" thick aluminum. Anyone else have this issue? Will be getting in touch with Timberwolf today.
