That sucks about your vac, Brad. That new collector looks nice. How is it for bag changes? Is there a quick release?

My bosch vac died last night. Well it didn't die, but I couldn't turn off the AFC and it made funny noises when I shut it off. ARGH. Went to the service center today. Tech will look at it this week some time. My gut feeling is the circuit board for the auto filer clean was smoked. The LED light wouldn't come on, you couldn't switch it on and off and the funny noise on shut down only in the on/off mode (not in the tool activation mode) I did find out that the unit is made in italy. The bosch rep was genuinely shocked that it wasn't working. They transferred me to an engineer (I think) and asked a lot of questions. Thedude306, a bit surprised it died on you. How did all this turn out? I assume you got it fixed under warrenty, right? Now that youve used the vac what are your findings? Well besides the breaking down part i guess. Hows it perform compared to the competition?

The repair was a fiasco. It eventually got replaced it took to long and I was very disappointed with the service centre. Even after Bosch got involved it was a gong show.
Outside of that I am very happy with the vac. A local festool shop heard of my issues with the Bosch and dropped off a 36ac for me to try. It is a nice vac but I preferred the Bosch. It's quieter (not that it really matters as most tools are louder) It has more power. It' has a smaller foot print but the hose wraps around the vac making it wider. The hose garage seemed like it was ok on the festool but I didn't ever really use it. I also preferred the longer run time on the Bosch after the tool shuts off when using the tool activation mode. The power broker (or what ever it's called) is ok on both vacs. I've never had an issue plugging in high draw tools to the vac but iI also only run 20a circuits in my shop.
And for myself the l-boxx integration is really nice as I heavily invested in l-boxxes
My biggest beef is that the auto clean vac defaults to the on position. So every time you turn it on you need to defeat the auto clean. It would have been much nicer to turn it on when needed vs turning it off. I don't use the AC iwith bags so it's a royal pita. A big design flaw IMO. You can get the vac with semi auto cleaning which would be ok but it doesn't have the power broker feature which I like for sanding.
I also wished the plug was live all the time. Not as much of an issue for me but it would be nice.
Oh, I bought a HEPA filter for it and the anti static hose. Both cost about $100 each so add that to your cost if you go that way. It was still cheaper then the festool for me.
In the end I returned the festool and kept the Bosch. It's just a better vac all around.

You will be happy with that General for shop use. Bummer when a new tool bugs out.

Please the advice and recommendations how solve a problem the conjunction of Dust extractor Bosch GAS 35 M AFC and hose connector (P1-AS) of Mafell JigSaw P1 cc. Dust extractor has the accessory road on the hose towards the tool of internal diameter 32 mm, accessory road for the tool which can will connect on him has the internal diameter approximately 27 mm and external diameter of hose connector (P1-AS) is approximately 29 mm. Thanks …

Where are you from Duro?
My Festool CT26 hose goes over the P1cc dust port. It takes some twisting and pushing, and a bit of swearing, but it goes one.
Not sure on your hose, but dust tape is not really the answer.

From Croatia, I have tried method turn around, push, pull etc. but result haven't - the large balance, glue tape is not the acceptable as solution.

Received a Bosch GAS 35L SFC today (the entry model) to dedicate to my Erika 85 table saw. Up until now I had a Protool (Festool) VCP-26-E-L-AC connected. And although I've only done a single quick test I can already tell I get better collection with the Bosch.
Once I've found some more time I'll try and do a more detailled write-up, but for now, it's looking good!

Congrats on the new vac. I hope you really like it. Even after my issues I am very happy with mine. Can't wait for your thoughts after you have had some time with yours.
