Wow! Sweet! Don't tell my wife how much I paid.
Hello. I'm new here and this is my first post.
I just got my new MT 55 cc with a 160, 110, and angle rail with 2 clamps and a few other bits.
First job, cut 4 strips of 1/2 in . Delrin 2ft long.
Trimmed A small pc of 1/4 in Lexan just to sq it up.
It's hooked up to a Festool ct 36 DX.
I also have a 36 mm hose.
1st question. Is there an adapter to connect to the saw.
I ran the first cuts with a 27 mm? hose but need to use the 36mm.
I haven't read any manuals yet, 2nd Question. Is there an adapter ? 3rd Question what's the Velcro for on the exhaust post.
I'm thinking about making new kitchen cabinets and floor.
I want a lot more tools from them, you know what ones. All of them!

I ran the first cuts with a 27 mm? hose but need to use the 36mm. 27 fits inside, 36 fits over. 36 stays in place better. either option collects dust really well since the saw is designed perfectly.
I haven't read any manuals yet, 2nd Question. Is there an adapter ? 3rd Question what's the Velcro for on the exhaust post. Velcro is to keep the power cord with the vac hose. I don't use mine.
I'm thinking about making new kitchen cabinets and floor.

It's ok we won't tell the wife what it costs. If you are going to be doing kitchen cabinets maybe look at the dd40 and template guide if you don't the lr32 system from festool.

I've never used the lr32 from festool but it looks to be way more fiddly and slower than my dd40.

I'm chomping at the bit to get cutting subfloor sheets in and for my kitchen and bath. That's when the new panel system will make it's grand entrance. When my wife inquires, " how much did that cost? ". Answer, less than having someone else remodel the kitchen and bath. I'll also tell her that I bought it for her, so she wouldn't have a mess in the house.
I'm about a month away from getting inside, still finishing up the outside stuff. Work is interfering with my Fun Work.

Finaly just got to use the mt55 for it's inteneded use. Cut a patch for the bathroom shower stall. I used the 160 rail and for the l cut i used the depth guide. I cut 19/32 Advantech. These were the best cuts I have ever made. It was extremly easy. Line up the track clamp it down. check to make sure you are cutting to the right number. CUT! PERFECT! Almost nothing got into the room even when I cut off a tongue.

Track saws are great for cutting odd shapes that aren't square. Makes a mind bender easy.
You keeping the blue toilet? Back in style you know!

:'(One, the toilet is going. Maybe on ebay. Two The seat goes with it. I LOVE MY MT55! Yes i'm yelling. I did not have to make any additional cuts. 2 Sheets down 20 more to go. Good tools make work fun! Now where did I hear that one? The first cut that I made in my kitchen. It was so smooth and Silky ( and no saw dust) that I thought I may have forgotten to install a blade. Mafell tools are the tools I have spent a life time searching for.

Does the 35mm hose perform better? I had great success with the Festool 27mm.
