My 300 arrived today, I'm well impressed. Decided on the 110v after all your comments on versatility. Haven't played with it yet but took it out of the box and pretended it was a pump action shotgun for awhile!

Congrats! The 300 is a precise, yet tough little saw, I'm sure you'll really enjoy it!!

Congrats...all the features of these saws makes me want one of each! I could see a real use for trimming on its side for flooring. Looks like a great saw.

Will try and use it this week. However, I'm one of those people that tries not to use it, so that it stays in pristine condition. Then it hit's me, I need to use it wherever and whenever, because I bought it to make work easier and quicker... Go figure!

You'll end up using it for everything, trust me.

I'll second that. With your mt and kss that's a good system you have going there

Have been using it for the last couple of days, really like it. Used it for some skirting boards (baseboards some of you may call it), nice clean mitres. Tried it on some PAR 4x2. Just a little shy, I'd say 1.5 - 2 mm ish.
Any one every tried using a 125 mm blade in theirs? if there's room in the saw, and if the motor can handle it and if the kerf is thin enough? So many ifs any thoughts.
i've seen a number of different makes on ebay, such as irwin, I might give it a go.

Have been using both the mt55 and kss quite a lot recently. I used the f rails and mt55 too cut internal oak doors to size, not just the bottom and tops, but also the sides. As I fitting into old frames, some of the doors had to be trimmed with a slight curve to one or both sides, was able to do this with the mt55 by cutting in sections, and with minimal tidy up with hand plane. Quite happy actually Used the kss 300 to cut door stops and even played around with some architraves, worked out quite well, even when I had to cut from the moulded side. I had to make a rebate in some bullnose softwood, to serve as a cover over some laminate flooring, I used the saw on its side resting on some 6X1 to cut into the side and bottom of the bullnose. I didn't clamp it down or anything, just held it down with my freehand. it sailed through the wood. I used the parallel guide to raise the saw off the ground for one of the cuts. Some pics of the finished bullnose with how I laid out the saw I did notice one thing though, using the 300 on the f-rail, it does take off a shaving from the splinter guard, not enough to worry me. I used a henry for dust extraction, whilst it did a pretty good job, some of the finer dust does escape. So i'm looking for a cheap-ish alternative.

Nice creativity. I have made some unique cuts with my kss300 but I don't think I would've come up with the idea of making that cut happen with that saw. Also, I just noticed your post from Sept 8th where you were wondering if anyone had tried a 125mm blade. You haven't given one a try yet have you?

Can't say that I have done that with mine yet but you tend to get very creative with this little guy. It's been invaluable to me on my current project. I really have to get on those renders for you people...
