I just looked at my package and what I got for blades as I expected were the Bosch, no others included.

So how do we go about getting the mafell coping foot in the UK and how much delivered? Hi Taz! I believe that Collins was hoping to eventually get set up with some European distributors, but for the time being You're probably best just to order directly through Collins Tool Company. Their full contact info is on their website. www.CollinsTool.com

2 more pictures- See in the 2nd picture right above the jig saw sits the Collins coping foot. It seems to be a perfect spot for it. Also I am really happy about how the coping foot is compatible with the quick release built into the saw so it only takes a few seconds to switch back and forth. It seems the Mafell jig saw was designed to be held upside down. The little flair in the body right behind the orbital switch wraps the hand perfectly and gives a very secure & controlled hold. Speaking of the orbital- I tested with each blade and they all worked best with the orbital set all the way on. In the Collins instructions that came with the foot it said the foot worked best with the orbital off or on setting #1...the P1cc doesn't really obey the rules though.

Tom - Thanks for your efforts. I got one, haven't used it yet. Mine came with the same two pack of of Festool blades 7 got.
7 - That's a good looking cope. How much did you have to tune it with rasps or sandpaper?

How much did you have to tune it with rasps or sandpaper? John I did that cut really quick & didn't touch it at all with a file or sandpaper etc. All the others pictured above, even the thick maple casings & chair rail, fit just as well. I picked that specific MDF base above because of the double profile that takes a minute to cope with a standard hand coping saw. It turned out just as good or better and seriously took only about 10 or 15 seconds. I have an entire house to cope coming up so I am excited about the coping foot. Ditto on the thanks to Tom for getting this foot on the Collins tool Co. radar.

7,
That's great, the coping foot should save you a lot of time for a whole house project.
I need to make time to practice with mine, maybe after the holidays.

I am looking forward to it for the house trim install.
As for practice just cut from the bottom of the trim holding the saw upside down. If you have cut many copes by hand with a standard coping saw I think it will feel quite natural.

UPDATE: So, this was texted to me on Friday, I think it bodes well!! It sounds like it will take some time, but apparently this is going to be feasible. A BIG preemptive "Thank You!" to Collins Tools Company for taking on this low run, custom work! (Note the wood blocks clamping the P1cc, I love that he's taking such good care of my saw!) Thanks Tom! I ordered mine thanks to your foresight/etc.

I ordered mine thanks to your foresight/etc. Thanks Randal!! I've been getting a ton of use out of my P1cc/Collins Coping Foot recently, and I just love it!! The basement I am currently trimming has a ton of fuel 3/4" thick Oak baseboard with a somewhat complicated profile, the P1cc/Coping Foot has saved me hours of labor.
