Very cool. I made a Holtzapffel bench for mine, which I really like. It was on of the best projects I have ever done. Please post pics. I think we'd all like to see it.

OK...here are three pics I found with it cleaned off when I was moving it -- this thing is pretty heavy. I added HDPE squares on the bottom of the legs to elevate it in case the floor ever got wet and it helps it slide easier if I have to move it (which I have from time to time). It has an end vise and the twin screw and one row of dog holes across the front. I added them in the front legs as well for stops -- useful when securing long boards in the twin screw. The other end opposite the quick release I added a simple plane stop. A couple of coats of Watco clear to prevent glue and things from sticking to it. It is rock solid and perfect for hand tool use and power tool use. Most of the time I have it pile high with parts and tools and so I am constantly battling clutter and staying organized.

Not sure why the pics are so small. I can try and take some better ones this weekend -- although I would have to clear the current mass of clutter off again! It is just over 7 feet long, 2 feet wide and about 35 inches tall. The top is 3 1/2 inches thick and it is all solid rock hard maple -- 8/4 through out. The legs are laminated 8/4 boards.

Very cool. Looks like it is clean from time to time for 5 minutes or so. I like the festool sticker too. I wonder if T wolf tools has mafell stickers. I would love a bench like that but I would have to stay away from it with saws which seems to be hard for me. Anyway, nice work-looks amazing.

Thanks...yes, I do like it. I use my MFT's for saw work and leave this one for hand tool and assembly work. it does have some dings and stuff in it, but it just adds character.

Perfect use of the OF2200. Love that router. Curious why you opted for square dogs instead of round?

Perfect use of the OF2200. Love that router. Curious why you opted for square dogs instead of round? I just like them better in this application. They stay square to the bench, I can make them to my liking, and I need long dogs to go through the 5"+ bench top, so I can just push them up easily when needed. Will probably face the dogs with a bit of suede. The wood dogs are also much more forgiving should my plane blade accidentally contact the dog. I currently use most of the veritas accessories like the round dogs, surface clamp, bench blade, and wonder pups. I also use gramercy holdfasts. So, I will be drilling 3/4" holes in the top for those items.

Very cool. I debated for awhile on whether to go square or round and opted for round in the end. That is a nice jig to route the angles for the square dogs.

Started gluing up the top and rough dimensioning the stretchers. Was only able to get one photo today. Used the dd40 and 10 mm dowels to align the individual layers. I was concerned about the glue up not being perfectly straight at nearly 13' long, but I remembered we had a few steel beams out in the yard so I brought one in and clamped to it. It's coming out amazingly straight so far.
