Thought some of you guys might enjoy seeing this project. We recently completed building this casework using the dd40p. I used MDF core melamine. The dd40 works very well for this type of application. I really like the guide template, but there is some difficulty when adding the 1600mm extension. The quick clamping mechanism has to be removed so I then had no way to register the guide repeatedly. I recently ordered the two accessory clamps, one with stop and one without but they haven't arrived yet. That should make the extended guide much easier to use. The mt55 also did a nice job of cutting crisply through the melamine faces. Dust collection was great also. Please excuse the uneven alignment of the doors, they will be adjusted upon installation.

Yes. That's what the dd40 is made for and the reason I want one. Nice job .

Whats great is the speed you can do this at. Did you do the shelf pins with the dd40 as well?

Very nice.
You are correct that you need the special clamp for the long guide rail. I have heard of some guys getting longer rods for the template guide. Might look around one of these days.
Really like the the DD40 but have been using Confirmats for the cases. Saves space and allows me to disassemble for mistakes or finishing.

The only difference between both machines is, that the 40p has a slightly lower max-rpm (and more power). Perhaps you should push a little slower when using the 3mm drills with the 40p.

On the first picture with the melamine might have you put a melamine cover strip on the leading edge?
